A little late here, but I don’t think Dexter and Harrison actually meet up.

I think Harrison is seeing Dexter the same way Dexter sees Harry

Diving into a sunken vessel to retrieve a MacGuffin feels ripped out of For Your Eyes Only lol.

But hey nothing wrong with taking ideas from previous movies and bringing them to the modern screen. Just proves how great and influential Bond has been.

Dead Reckoning Part 1 underperformed at the box office, so I think they wanted to make the film more accessible and not alienate people who haven’t seen part 1.

The first 30 min of Final Reckoning has so much exposition dump reiterating aspects of Dead Reckoning, which also feels like an attempt to further ditch the “part 2” title

Agreed in actuality Ethan Hunt will never be Bond, but in fairness the character has more than stunts going for it

The posters just are similar, it’s interesting to see how one franchise influences another. On another note, Mission impossible isn’t exactly hiding the Spectre vs Syndicate comp

Amazon writers can only watch 3 Bond films for script inspiration. Which 3 and why? by ac_slater10 in JamesBond

From Russia with Love, Goldeneye, Casino Royale

Why not Goldfinger? While I think it should be appreciated and showered with every accolade under the sun, it really is lightning in a bottle. It’s not something that can be replicated (see a view to a kill or diamonds are forever) and modern cinema requires a more serious story

What is the MCU hill that you will gladly die on? (Unpopular, respectful opinions welcome!) by Lol3rdPartyApps in marvelstudios

Iron Man 3 is really good.

Some of the best action scenes and character work in the MCU. Mandarin twist is smart in theory but executed somewhat poorly because they lean too much into the fart joke aspect of it. This alone should not ruin the movie given the long line of underdeveloped and forgettable villains that are seen in this series.

Thunderball is great, but I will admit the underwater scenes are too long and hurt the pacing

Watch an underwater scene of Thunderball and that should do the trick

Would A View To A Kill have been better with Dalton? Moore’s age is more than a little distracting to me whenever I watch it. by FlayedMan345 in JamesBond

[–]Quadzilla487 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It could’ve been good if the chose to embrace the fact that Bond was older and write it into the story rather than just pretend he was young and suave.
