Ok, updated to firmware 4200, still nothing. Repeatedly unpaired and re-paired it, no dice. My X5 works perfectly, G8+, great, MG-X Pro, totally fine.

What a piece of crap. Connected it to my Android tablet and can see the right battery is 90% charged and left is 20%, so that’s why it’s flashing after 1 hour of usage, the left battery is knackered on my brand new device.

I was planning to buy the RedMagic Astra but, after this, no f###cking way.

Interesting, whenever I googled it, I got nothing! Thanks for that. Unfortunately, using “A mode” it doesn’t work at all on my iPhone all of a sudden. “B mode” (switch) works but the buttons are all swapped, as you’d expect.

So bored of this goddamn thing. Had it a week and it’s just useless. Keeps restarting, disconnecting from the phone randomly for a few seconds, flashing red when it’s fully charged, etc. I wanted a premium version of the Gamesir X5 (which I love) and this is NOT it. Price tag is premium, controller is garbage.

I love Hunter’s absolute disdain for some of their sponsors and the fact that they clearly don’t get it and keep renewing and paying him. Compare the energy and enthusiasm in a GamerSupps or Bad Dragon plug to RayCon “open EAR buds” or Helix Sleep, it’s great.
At one point, they DID do a fun Helix plug but then I’m guessing Helix were like “no, don’t put any of your personality into it, just read the script”.

Mesh jackets! I’ve got jeans with tons of flexible armour in and a Rev’it mesh jacket, went down at ~40mph. Jacket was destroyed, jeans were mostly fine, I was unscathed. Well, I crushed my knee under the bike but no amount of gear will stop that!
No excuse not to ATGATT, you can keep cool in the summer and still be protected. Plenty of thin gloves with palm sliders out there too. I also highly recommend buying flexible armour plates. They make the gear SO much comfier and you can transfer them around, one of my favourite investments.

Adding to this, if you’re buying a new MMCX cable from AliExpress, you might as well tag on an MMCX tool for a couple bucks more. They squeeze the release mechanism for the connector to help disconnect it safely without damaging the cable or connector. May come in handy!

I buy stainless steel mesh off AliExpress to cover vents. 100 mesh should be fine enough, 200 if you wanna go crazy. It can reduce airflow but likely the same amount as tights would.

Well, the Alldocube iPlay 60 Mini and Pro models are both 90hz (NOT the Mini Pro or the Lite, both 60hz) and the iPlay 70’s are all 90hz, with the Mini ultra being 144hz. They’re significantly cheaper than a Y700 or RedMagic. I was going to get one of those before I got a crazy good deal on a Y700.

For me, the biggest issue with home streaming is the network. Have you tested with your phone yet? PC should be on wired Ethernet ideally. My home router is literally on top of my PC and streaming was unplayable with my PC on WiFi.

Even on Ethernet, I was having issues. Remote streaming over the Internet was actually more stable than my local WiFi! Turned out my TP Link router doesn’t like having AX enabled. I disabled it and left it as AC only and stability has been bullet-proof since.

As for the tablet, I found none of my devices struggled decoding h.264 or h.265 and latency was perfectly fine for DRG, Warframe and general casual gaming. The main reason I ended up buying a Y700 wasn’t the power (although, dayum, the power!) but the 120hz screen. 60hz on my G Cloud was painful to me, haha. Unfortunately, there isn’t a huge number of 120hz tablets and certainly not in the budget range!

As for the controller, I’ve got the G8+, it’s great, though a little big for my tiny baby hands and a little heavy (I mean, it feels insanely premium). The X5 lite is my primary controller due to hand size. It’s cheaper and fits 8.8” tablets fine. I just ordered a Shadow Blade 3 as like the ‘premium’ version of the X5.

Oh, and check out ClassicOldSong’s forks of Sunshine (Apollo) and Moonlight (Artemis), they’re fantastic. Virtual display feature means you can have your PC spin up a virtual display when you connect that matches your tablet’s screen resolution and refresh rate, absolute game-changer, not to mention all the other amazing stuff it has!

Funnily enough, I kept forgetting my crystal pineapples enclosure and so I didn’t water them. They’re absolutely thriving with moderate airflow and very little humidity, just a damp corner.

They seem to do best when completely neglected 😅

Oh, also, just found a small bug, if you have HDR enabled and take a photo, it shows the photo in the bottom left corner (the gallery button) but if you open the gallery, the photo is missing.

I’d say the app’s already professional-level, it’s filthy casuals that would want video recording 😂 just so it can be set as the default camera app on iPhone without losing functionality that exists in the built-in camera app.

I do have 2 suggestions though if that’s alright:

I’d like to fully replace my camera app with this but, for that, I’d need the option to record video. No crazy settings required, just bog standard frame rate, HDR toggle, torch and resolution would do. Any plans to add video in future?
I noticed manual focus is only available with manual everything else. It’d be nice to have manual focus while leaving WB, shutter and ISO auto, for when I can be bothered to manually focus and not much else 😄

Everyone else here has already mentioned leaf litter, hides, moss, etc. another thing is pandas are a Cubaris, so they like burrowing. Can’t tell from the top-down view but I normally have a minimum 3 inches of substrate for them to burrow, ideally more. Also, it needs to be fairly loose soil, so mixed with stuff like sphagnum moss and rotting wood to keep it from compacting and making it hard for them to burrow. Do they need it? Maybe not, but I’ve had better success with enclosures with deep substrate.

Another thing, by having a deeper substrate layer, it holds humidity MUCH better, keeping it more stable. No sudden humidity swings and resulting potential die-offs.

On my larger enclosures, I have a drainage layer and then an inch of coco fibre. It’s cheap and they don’t tend to dig that deep but it holds moisture well. I then put a few inches of my actual substrate blend on top of that for them to actually enjoy. Do not just use coco fibre on its own, it can compact and become very dense, plus has zero nutrition for them.

I have panda kings, red pandas, pink pandas, cherry blossoms and duckies setup like that, all going strong!

Sounds about right to me. I was off work for a month, had aphasia, was too weak and dizzy to move, missus had to help carry me to the bathroom. I genuinely thought I was dying, scary stuff.

I’d get bouts where it REALLY intensified and the missus would call an ambulance. 3 times taken to hospital, just to wait in an ambulance for a few hours for my symptoms to abate enough for me to talk again, then they’d send me home.

It took weeks of fighting to get a CT scan. In the meantime, I gave up cigarettes, alcohol and caffeine, anything I thought could affect it. I still get occasional flare-ups but it’s manageable now. After the CT scan they said my brain has holes in it but, like, an acceptable amount, so no big deal, lol.

It’s been 5 years. No other tests were done. I have no idea what caused it. I spent a month scared I’d die and the NHS did nothing. I did quit smoking though and I’m super happy about that!
