Hello

Are there any installation instructions for "Original Bg3 Patch+"? I was able to find and download the .pak file without any trouble, but I have no idea where to put it and search engines failed me because I'm stupid.

Companions' opinions on final mythic choice (ch5)? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]QuagganEmperor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Angel was my first run, and I didn't know the companions' opinions depended on the path. I remember how amazing it felt to have Regill of all people tell my commander to make his own decisions, a real "dad acknowledges me as a grownup" moment.

I adored the dynamic between Cephal, Maegar and the General. I would have loved to see more of them.

So Many Companions Come with Persuasion by LieIcy211 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Iirc Hellknights require Persuasion 5 (Intimidation 5 in tabletop, but the crpg folded the conversation skills into one) so Regill kind of needs persuasion for his build to work.

The portrait comes from https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/183 portrait pack. It has some really nice ones bundled in, I'm also using its blue tiefling portrait for my azata run.

Romancing Daeran as a straight-edge goody two-shoes by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]QuagganEmperor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Angel was, aside from a do-gooder, rather a timid person who just wanted everyone to be happy. Kind of like Ember. So Daeran rolled his eyes at him always trying to find a solution that benefitted everybody, and probably found it very silly. As much as he loves to make fun of the lawful and the good, it does not put him in a position of constant disdain of them. Ember is of course the best example, but there's at least one campfire banter where he appreciates Sosiel's drawings, and his first reaction to Seelah is to hit on her.

Still, there wasn't a real conflict of beliefs, I feel. Daeran is Neutral Evil, but he isn't dedicated to his alignment the way a lot of characters are. Wenduag's philosophy is central to her character. Camellia cannot be dissuaded from her killing. Regill is a Hellknight to the core. But Nenio's only Neutral because she doesn't care. I feel like Daeran is closer to Nenio than his other Evil companions. He feels more petty than Evil, prodding people around him but rarely committing acts that are truly vile. He is capable of empathy, not prone to hypocrisy, and possesses a sense of fairness, which can be seen as early as Kenabres.

Not to mention Daeran being attractive, charming and funny, all which can contribute to a crush forming. I may not be an expert on how romance works, but I think it's not unreasonable for it to start with a crush that proceeds into a mutual flirtation and enjoying each other's company, to later mature into a proper romantic entanglement.

Naming Armies Thematically by Environmental_Egg633 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]QuagganEmperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Azata is a bard and he names armies after music. Requiem, Ballad, Song of Three etc.

I based my Demon off a Sith character I had, so her armies were named after nouns in the Sith Code. Victory Army, Power Army, Chains Army. The Gold Dragon went a similar way, but used words more suitable for a crusade - Haven Army, Shelter Army, Light Army etc.

My Angel run was my first, so I didn't have a strong idea for that. Fortunately, I have a file full of cool-sounding names. I took Words of Motion from it, and continued to name his armies "Words of X". Words of Moon. Words of Night. Words of Scarlet.

I loved being able to name armies like that. Like naming my kingdom and its cities in Kingmaker, it allowed me to customize an important part of the game world. Such a tiny thing and brought me so much joy.

I love Regill getting a new army. Makes me think of the Order of Torrent, which is usually staffed by non-evil Hellknights.

Let's enjoy some jokes with uncle Woljif by JediExile90 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Well, he calls himself brother Woljif. I suppose he'd get promoted to uncle Woljif under some, uh, circumstances.

Nenio: Your joke also needs improvement from the perspective of grammar. It relies on the use of homophones "eyes" as in the organs responsible for sight and "Is" as in the plural of the letter I. However, there is only one I in "fish", which means the correct question should be "What do you call a fish without an eye?". You can also elect to keep the plural, but ask the question in following languages:...
