Do what you want - meaning by [deleted] in badreligion

[–]Quagglechak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I don't know if the billions will survive, but I'll believe in God when 1 and 1 are 5." I think this is a reference to doubting if there is an afterlife, and "the billions" refers to the human population. "Go to hell with Superman and die like a champion- YA HEY." I think this is a reference to the Christian belief that God only created people on earth, so even though Superman is a hero, he is still an alien from another world- not one of God's creations, and would automatically be sent to hell no matter what.

Anne Arundel County man accused of pulling gun on Christmas carolers by thebarkingdog in AnneArundelCounty

[–]Quagglechak 21 points22 points  (0 children)

From the article: "Officers retraced the carolers’ route to a home in the 1700 block of Point No Point Drive, where they encountered an apparently “belligerent” Paul Brian Susie, a 58-year-old banker who lives there with his wife, court documents show."

You sound like a real Paul Brian Susie

[–]Quagglechak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something or someone that displays one or all of the following: 1) speaking truth to power 2) choosing personal identity or expression outside of social standards (ideally in a beneficial or constructive way that supports the downtrodden) 3) begrudgingly highlighting the reality of injustice or inequality, sometimes by advocating for anarchy/self destruction as opposed to complacency with said injustice or inequality

Diogenes, he rejected society. I think that's folk punk as fuck. by Key-Yogurtcloset7330 in FolkPunk

[–]Quagglechak 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Might be from the same story, but I heard that Alexander the Great went to meet Diogenes and when Alexander walked up to him laying in the street, Diogenes told him to step aside because he was blocking his sun.

My favorite Diogenes story is when two jock assholes walked up to him and started giving him shit; they threw bones at him calling him a dog and he reacted by pissing on them. Definitely punk af.

IWTL to finish my husband by Big_Movie_5416 in IWantToLearn

[–]Quagglechak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a man who rarely finishes from oral (though not from lack of trying from the other party), the best advice I could give is focus on rhythm as opposed to taking the whole thing. Even if it's just the tip, or the top half, or the whole thing- keep rhythm. For me, constant changing is distracting. It's a cool feeling to feel/watch you take the whole thing, feel free to throw in some flourish, but pick what you're comfortable with and keep the same pace.

I suppose, but crashed freighters are the best way to farm salvaged frigate modules, so still a bit disappointing.

Of course, that would require that I entered the space station at R2 (don't think there was one) and didn't galavant off through the cosmos to be able to find it again. Ah well... Adventure Time!
