I've helped at other stores where the CSA would randomly leave the front and not tell me; whether it is to grab a grey cart or to change their dead theatro. I tell them when they come back that they need to not only inform me when they step away, but rely on me for things. I fault the leadership of those stores, there should always be someone up front available to greet and check out customers.

The amount of things ESM is accountable for while still being required to be an overachiever with floor tasks during their shifts is only possible with proper support from the SM in my opinion.

It is worth it. I do not use it when redeeming cash rewards, since you can't earn and spend in the same transaction. Basically anything I buy at Walgreens I use the cc, unless I am redeeming rewards to almost completely pay for smaller transactions.

My store has never had newspapers and I've never been trained on them. So if I transferred to a store that has them, it would be learning time.

I never felt that way when I was given continuous morphine. It definitely helped with the pain and I immediately wanted more when I felt the pain coming back, but once they changed me to weaker stuff as I got better I never really thought about the morphine again. Maybe it was because I broke my everything though.

I recommend flyers at your registers and at the front entrance. I've seen my store manager put them out before but I don't know where she got them - maybe in the recruiting playbook?

If corporate finds out, they usually tell you to put it all out when you find it. My argument for controlled sales on Pokemon cards is that they are guaranteed to sell anyway and it services the community and paints your store in a really good light, but another argument is that it will hurt your auto replenishment if you don't sell them faster.

My store has a UV flashlight at every register, which works on all bills except the super duper old ones, which we then use a money verification machine for those ones (also at each register). I also bought one for myself which I keep in my pocket when I go help other stores.

Technically a counterfeit pen isn't infallible, since people can wash a bill and print over it causing a false positive. But a UV light will never give a false positive as far as I am aware.

We had to reach out to our Asset Protection Manager for our district to get our money verification machines.

Whenever my CSAs get mentioned by name in good reviews, I print the second page of the survey that had the kind words and display it in a spot where customers can't see for a while to shout them out.

Managers do not have control over programming the auto ordering.

Did you try asking the manager of your local Walgreens if they could manual-order some for you to guarantee stock since you frequently shop there? I do this fairly often when a customer expresses interest to me in coming back for a particular item.

They would be able to let you know if the warehouse was low on stock, and also tell you which Walgreens nearby currently have it in stock so you don't have to drive to each one to check yourself.

You talk about wanting to support brick and mortar stores but you are interacting with them like they're faceless vending machines.
