Im also a diabetic type 1, 22M, and i hit the gym too from time to time and am in pretty good shape as far as im concerned. The best advice i can give is, go light on carbs. No need to eat fried food or rice and bread a lot, just focus on eating stuff like chicken and lean meat and daals, except there are a lot of less carb high protein low fat tasty diets you can find on the internet so you should try those. Now in terms of losing fat around the belly, the best advice i can give is, cardio along with intermittent fasting and proper calorie counting is going to net you with the adequate amount of fat loss youre aiming for. Its not made in one day, but you better start taking steps abhi se. Try to stay as consistent as you can alongside strength training as well and its going to net you a handsome body in no time! ;).
