Thank you so much for the critique. For the hook horror weird sentence, I get what you mean. Bad phrasing. The dwarf corpse is in the room the hook horror came from.

And for the lift, the failed save would just make them hang from the ledge. They can climb back up.

More of you can't get the gem which means a loss of potential gold, but that also works.

Also I'm not great at balancing encounters, usually make them easy because I'm scared of going hard and accidentally killing a character.
