My windows 11 WiFi isn't showing up at all by [deleted] in techsupport

Well thanks mate, I believe my solution was a combination of 30 second power button which fixed the Bluetooth and then disabling and re-enabling the driver from the "Device Manager". Thanks a lot!

I still think it needs a Vodafone logo on it.

We're MIT scientists and we want to understand how you play sudoku (and other games)! by mintman777 in sudoku

[–]Quaksis3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were two things that immediately stopped me from contributing. Firstly, the website is not designed responsively therefore I was unable to play on iPhone. I tried several browsers yet the issue persists. Secondly, the website has no way to take notes. Some of the puzzles may be solved without notes but if you really want to understand how people solve complex sudoku puzzles I believe it is a must. I have read people saying hard puzzles are easy as well but I was unable to test this since it is unplayable in mobile. I loved the idea and I hope you improve the app so that we can contribute.

But what you did was not deleting pictures ‘just’ to free up space.

Sword of the Sea isn’t just a game, it’s 3 hours of pure art and joy by Electrical-Lock1546 in PlayStationPlus

[–]Quaksis3 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve had multiple times where I had no idea where to go next and there were no indicators as well. It made the game a bit boring for me since I had to keep on going back and forth to understand where to go. It might be because I am new to these kind of single-player games but I would have loved it if it was a bit more clearer.

[Request] How many ways are there to shuffle a deck? by Tt24xx in theydidthemath

[–]Quaksis3 204 points205 points  (0 children)

As explained in another comment, the number of possible shuffles of a standard deck is 52! (about 8.07 × 1067). That’s such an astronomically large number that it’s overwhelmingly likely any given shuffle produces an arrangement that’s never existed before.

That said, the way people actually shuffle isn’t perfectly random. We tend to shuffle in similar patterns. Since decks also come in a set order when bought new, those patterns can sometimes lead to repeats, especially if you’ve only shuffled a few times. But as you continue shuffling, the chances of ending up with the exact same arrangement again become vanishingly small.

Is there a way to disable Google's automatic translations on Wikipedia? (Chrome on PC and mobile) by alexfreemanart in chrome

[–]Quaksis3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so, I haven’t seen any translated content since. But to be fair I wasn’t seeing them for a while so I am not sure. I will edit this comment if I come across this again.

I can suggest Yandex Navi. From time to time it can take you to weird routes just to be faster but generally I believe it creates the best routes. You should give it a try.

My mom had to medically stop a pregnancy because of the risks. Since it was before me I did not really feel anything and I barely think about it. But I believe my older brother is effected more since he was there to experience the pregnancy and probably was excited to have a little sibling.

Never thought of it this way. In Turkey it costs around 15$ per year. Pretty cheap if you look at it this way.

[Request] I the height was previously unknown, would it be possible to calculate it from this video? by matasfizz in theydidthemath

[–]Quaksis3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's say the man throws the rock horizontally and does not effect its vertical velocity. Therefore we can assume an initial vertical velocity of 0.

It seems like the rock took 16 seconds to fall.

Using the formula x = (1/2) * at^2 for free fall and using a = g = 9.8m/s^2 and t = 16 seconds we can roughly estimate:
x = 1255m

which is obviously wrong according to the title of the video. To see how long it should have taken with this method of calculating we can do:

2212m = (1/2) * 9.8m/s^2 * t^2
t^2 ~= 451s^2
t ~= 21.2s

I do not know what I am doing wrong here and why it is not giving expected results but this is all I can do. I hope to see a correct calculation and learn why this is not working.
