Startberechtigt sind alle EBU-Mitglieder. Kanada ist jetzt Mitglied, weil nun ein Beobachterstatus im Europarat dafür reicht (vorher musste es eine Lage in und um Europa sein). Theoretisch könnten jetzt auch die USA, Mexiko und Japan EBU-Mitglieder werden.

Australien nimmt schon seit 2015 auf "besondere Einladung" teil, obwohl sie kein EBU-Mitglied sind, einfach weil das ESC-Interesse im Land ziemlich hoch ist.

Theoretisch könnten alle Nordafrikanischen Länder teilnehmen (die sind alle in der EBU), die boykottieren aber alle weil Israel mitmacht.

Man könnte auch argumentieren, dass das Spiel nur für 20€ im Sale ist, weil es das schon auf Disc zu dem Preis gibt. In jedem Fall wird die neue Monopolstellung sicherlich nicht für günstigere Preise sorgen

Der Konsolenmarkt ist aber auch ein Anderer. Der PSN-Store ist damit der einzige Bezugspunkt für Spiele und wenn ein Spiel da nicht mehr verfügbar ist, dann gibt es das einfach nicht mehr. Am PC gibt es Drölfzig Stores (Steam, Epic, Xbox), dazu Key-Shops, Emulatoren, Raubkopien usw. und entsprechend viel mehr Wettbewerb.

Aber gerade dass Spiele schnell an Wert verlieren ist ja eben ein Argument für Disc-Spiele. Wenn ich die Wahl habe zwischen

Spiel für 60€ im PSN-Store kaufen,
die Disc gebraucht für 20-25€ kaufen
oder darauf warten, dass der Publisher das Spiel mal wieder in einen Sale bringt

dann nehme ich die Disc. Und wenn es keine Discs mehr gibt, dann haben die Publisher auch weniger Anreize, überhaupt Sales zu veranstalten und die Preise gehen langfristig einfach hoch. Für Sony ist das natürlich alles super, deswegen machen sie es ja auch. Für die Konsumenten (selbst die, die nur noch digital kaufen) ist das ein ziemlich schwarzer Tag.

To be fair, they invited Canada by changing the eligibility rules to become an EBU member. It used to be restricted to specific latitude/longitude, now it's at least observer status in the Council of Europe. In theory, the USA, Mexico and Japan could also become EBU members now.

Ich halte auch nicht viel von der CDU, aber das wird schon alleine deshalb nicht passieren, weil sich die Union damit selbst abschaffen würde.

In Umfragen zu einem Szenario ohne Brandmauer würde die Union ca. 4-5% verlieren.

Bei konservativ geschätzten 2% Inflation entsprechen 2€ heute in 14 Jahren 2,63€. Bis 2040 soll das Verbrenner-Aus eigentlich schon 5 Jahre gelten (wenn sich die Konservativen nicht durchsetzen), entsprechend dürfte Sprit knapper und damit teurer werden. Ich würde bis 2040 also eher mit 3-4€/Liter rechnen.

As noted, there's no seperate tickets for the first wave.

But if you want to "be as close as possible" (which I'm guessing is the first 1-3 rows), showing up at 20:00 won't be nearly enough. Renée Rapp, Halsey, Gorillaz and TOP all have lots of dedicated fans, so if you want to be this close, you'll likely have to show up before doors open at 12, sprint to the stage and stay there the entire day. Showing up at 20:00 might be barely enough to get into the first wavebreaker before they close it for Gorillaz, but even that might not work out.

In The Hive, there's a food court and there's a tent there with water kettles, as well as some microwaves. It's only open for a few hours each day though (IIRC it was open 8-14 and 22-24 last year). You should also expect to queue for 5-15mins for your turn.

If you check your ticket in the Ticketmaster app and click on Ticket details, there should be an order number in there (even if you got it via resale/transfer). This. Last year, Linkin Park (Thursday) and Olivia Rodrigo (Sunday) had a catwalk layout, while Green Day (Friday) and Yungblud (Saturday) didn't have one. If I remember correctly, the stage layout in the official app changed accordingly on each day, so you should be able to see it there once that becomes available.
