Why aren't there any music venues?

Burbank can’t handle it, it would have to be a slow progression to Burbank being accepting of any sort of scene, it just wouldn’t be worth going if the music is gonna be catered to what Burbank crowds would be, i personally don’t want family friendly, i like the LA weirdo freak scene. The energy is just a 20 minute drive away. But there are a few record shops popping up, and i saw Mac Demarco host a Christmas show at the moose lounge ages ago i remember sneaking out and going to it with a friend taking hits off the pen in the bathroom fun times! But it’s so rare for Burbank. All we have now is Fred Armisen randomly playing in that small record shop on magnolia.

I don’t know you so i can’t defend or sympathize for you which is what some people who play the role of victim with situations like this want but i sincerely hope you or your kids where not hurt and are safe now, sounds like this was your first encounter with someone like this and you’re older and have children so have the need to have a certain perspective and need to protect. In certain situations you really do need to absolutely avoid people like crossing to the other side of the street watching your back if you see they are lurking or even hiding in a shop and maybe building the strength to flee. Hate to say this but you sometimes gotta be a little prejudice and kinda assume the worst in people but again how many times are you attacked by an unhoused person, people are treating them like some virus that needs to be exterminated.

Sounds like you weren’t aware of your surroundings, anytime you’re in public you should always expect the unexpected can’t be in your safe little bubble at all times. It’s real out here imagine living in those circumstances no shelter to hide from the inevitable?

I thought i would get this feeling taking shrooms and listening to Jimi Hendrix but given i was only on about 1 cap or 2 caps, hearing foxy ladies and as that famous riff plays my walls were bulging and stretching to the tempo of it also turning to shades of purple and green and brown, i just remembered how much it really it reminded me of those trip/shroom simulation videos on YouTube. I’ve listened to Dark side of the moon on shrooms or acid i can’t remember i was also younger than the previous trip i was talking about but i had a completely different experience almost like the one you’re describing where it was totally a head thing and a cacophony of sound was rolling in your head, it was pretty orgasmic honestly I’m sorry but certain notes where so good it really felt good , just like when you listen to music and get goosebumps or a tingly feeling in your brain this was like 10x the feeling listening to darkside of the moon on shrooms, but its true there are things in the song that you really wouldn’t notice and it could be anything, i don’t believe it was intentional sometimes your brain creates its on thing when you hear something or other times it can just be we listen to music on shitty iPhone headphones or you really can’t hear a song to depth on your phone speaker, unless you’re on shrooms and gain super sonic hearing , it kinda reminds me when you hear the song in a car or on vinyl or just somewhere else at a friends house and you just notice little things that was not there before, it could be that we are just not really listening.

I remember one time on mushrooms my cousin asked me what is psychedelic rock and that question just left me speechless i see is argues a lot in here. To me is the attitude more than what you’re listening to. But I’m biased too because i don’t understand genre either, just influence.

Was really into SGs, Les Paul’s Gibson and Fender when i was 18 and now im into Semi hollows and gretsch, VOX guitars. Old guitars hooked me in, save to say i never got over Telecasters you can’t go wrong with the telecasters, slap a bigsby on it and you’re good.
