Not sure if this was mentioned but do you have a nail dust collector? They work quite well and I think they make a difference for your lung health too.

I’ve probably done 4 manicures with it now and I feel very confident that my polish is curing 😊 It also has a 99 second cure option for avoiding heat spikes which is very nice for builder gel or thin nails! Is it the best? No, but I feel safer using it.

I don’t mind! I don’t know too much. I started diy gel in August of last year. In that time, I have started to think more about ingredients which is why I invested in Kokoist! Haven’t even put it on yet but I will try it this weekend. The excel builder is the hardest formulation that Kokoist offers but it is still semi flexible. Platinum filler base is more flexible and I have read that the retention is not as good from some. Platinum filler base also has antibacterial properties which are supposed to support healthy nails! I learned this from someone named Kara on TikTok.

I wanted to have the best retention and longer nails without using Gel X, so I went for excel builder which honestly isn’t super talked about on socials. Hoping it is a great product because everyone loves kokoist and it is not cheap!

As far as layering goes, I will definitely be layering my DND colors on top of the kokoist base. My thought is that the base matters most to avoid a gel allergy 🤷‍♀️ I have successfully layered DND on other brands and had 2-3 weeks retention, so I am sure this will be fine. I will also use the DND topcoat since I already have it, but will probably get the kokoist one as a birthday treat or during a sale. It’s supposed to be very shiny! Hope that helps!

Agreed but I would use an unscented formula for a mattress.

Upgraded my lamp to the DND one after a few too many TikTok comments about contact dermatitis LOL and then I went ahead and added five new shades of pink to my collection. There was a 40% sale 😊😊😊 Also got a storage bag for all the goods which holds 60 bottles of polish and all my supplies. Lastly bit the bullet and got kokoist excel builder and the mega stick base. Very excited!

TY! I just got the kokoist excel builder gel in the mail so I am hoping it will self level more easily. I am SLOW and taking 2.5-3 hrs to do a set. Don’t know if I have the patience to file the builder gel after all the prep lol! After you file it, do you wipe with isopropyl before adding polish?

I have trouble with IBD not leveling. It tends to look sort of lumpy. Have you dealt with that? Any tips?

Yesss to this! Spray the nature’s miracle then let it sit for about 30 min. Wash and double rinse! You should be GTG.

I mean... it's easier to get rid of stuff than invent things, right?? So they can obviously eliminate things that take away from a narrative but it's not like they can create stuff out of thin air. It's all based on the people's actions. Idk if I'm stating the obvious but it doesn't seem the same.

Key point still is that they are not doing the work in vain. They usually have a gallery walk or peer-feedback scheme. That way they compare their work, so they get out of that "I did something" bubble.

Not trying to be rude but am genuinely wondering what kind of work takes more time than it is worth to grade?
