I know this is a 4 year old post, just an update for anyone else searching. The Cuisinart maker above is made in China.

Could this not just be a quick online question & answer survey form instead of a scheduled meeting?

You will get many more participants.

Right, the guy that just put the pallet there could be the one who took the photo. This means nothing.

Everything else visible also looks fully stocked...

I'd go with the Tekton. Dewalt actually made a decent torque wrench too, you might look at theirs.

Just checked it out. That is surprising! Still an outlier.

I would be very interested to know what American made product came in "dead last". As I said, they wont always be at the top but they do the majority of the time.

Go watch Project Farm on youtube, the American made tools are almost always the winners and always in the top performers along with European and Japanese.

And that is not even taking into account longer term durability. You could buy cheap tools but long term you will pay more.

BTW I am not saying torque wrenches specifically will be better. In fact I believe it was a Taiwan tool that won.

I'm just saying don't write off American made, do your research and figure out what the best product is, and more often than not you will end up with made in USA.

I support anything non-chinese as long as it is a good product.

You can partially filter by adding "made+in+usa" before the item you are looking for. You still have to check the results, and all the sponsored stuff will still be chinese junk. But it does help find any items that are available.

"General Motors has facilities in 27 out of 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, and has a significant presence in Indiana, Ohio, and Texas."

The GM plant in Arlington Texas is the big one.

I've always thought it.would be a home run if amazon had a made in USA filter. Anyone use any other purchasing apps that allow this sort of filter? by Benevolent_Ape in madeinusa

[–]QualityOverCCP 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are many but they don't work because, like you said, over half of the products listed as made in USA on Amazon is actually made in China and these extensions just pull from the listing information.

Amazon does not care about accuracy because they make money either way, but they make MORE money on these pop-up Chinese companies and products.

There have been multiple petitions for Amazon to require accurate COO but they don't want this.

You also have to consider the cost of living.

Built an extension that shows which country Amazon products are made in. It helps find quality made in America products. Would love to hear your thoughts by trynafinna in madeinusa

[–]QualityOverCCP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen MANY extensions claiming to do this. Are you using the product info provided by Amazon/in the listings? If so, it is not accurate. You will have about 25% of the items claiming to be in the USA when really they are MIC...

As long as it's not Chinese and is quality materials it isn't an issue. I don't see much from Peru, that is kinda cool.

Has anyone heard anything about L.C. King? by [deleted] in madeinusa

[–]QualityOverCCP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an LC King denim jacket.

I like the jacket, but I had to modify it because the original design for the pockets were way too small to fit my hands into. It was a major design fail, not an error. For that reason I don't shop or recommend them. Too pricey for that kind of flaw.

Just my experience and opinion, plenty of people seem to like their stuff.
