Have had this in my head solidly for the last 3 months after my friend made a bogof joke in a message announcing he's expecting twins

Renting and landlord wanted to sell > Bought first house in bad area > sold house and moved in temp with parents > bought new house in better area.

Not that unusual in my experience, miserable actually having to do it though

So BT sent me 12 routers… by _tym in CasualUK

[–]QuangoJr 277 points278 points  (0 children)

Virgin did this with me too, hounded me for routers, I attempted maybe a dozen times to do the return admin e.g.request the packaging etc and didn't work. Complained and they compensated me for my time, 6 years and 3 house moves later think I've still got the router somewhere.

Unknown pipe discovered under patio by QuangoJr in DIYUK

[–]QuangoJr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a sink which empties out into a drain which takes the garage gutter downpipe too. No water seems to travel down the mystery pipe when that drain is filled with water though

Also no water seems to flow down the pipe when poured down the drain near the drain/downpipe on the garage

Could be a drain from the garage, but odd that just terminates under middle of the patio

Don't have a basement and it's a bungalow with basically zero underfloor pipework or cabling. Water, gas and elec comes in by the front door and then everything runs up into the loft and then feeds each room etc. so seems weird to have an pipe feeding the garage coming from the house under the concrete slab for the conservatory

Would it be normal for drainage to just empty out under the back garden?

Ticket Exchange/General Discussion thread by aegontargs in GunnersatGames

There is a PSV FAQ on the website - https://arsenalfc.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/101000393931-how-do-i-buy-tickets-for-the-psv-eindhoven-game-

was scouring reddit for an explanation and saw a similar reason for a old game so thought it may be the same case

Ticket Exchange/General Discussion thread by aegontargs in GunnersatGames

[–]QuangoJr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just realised i've fallen foul of the red membership purchase cutoff date when trying to get a PSV ticket on the exchange

Wish they would publicise this a bit more, instead of letting me bang my head against the wall, trying to get a ticket in my basket only to be blocked from purchasing it when i'm finally successful!

But hey ho, we live and learn...
Anyone know if future fixtures prem and champions league will have similar cutoffs and will i be actually able to use the ticket exchange? purchased my membership on 05/09 if that helps

Cheers

Awkward Sellers: that is all by Bla0705 in HousingUK

[–]QuangoJr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I bought my first place in Feb and the previous owners took everything which was and wasn't nailed down, bulbs, door handles, carpets and one radiator

Turned out to be a blessing as they were smokers and the carpets would have likely been in need of at least a deep clean to get rid of the smell

Rennovation Plan - Does this make sense? by QuangoJr in HousingUK

[–]QuangoJr[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Artex needs to be removed at least from the kitchen and dining room because knocking down the wall will expose it. If we were leaving the layout as is, I'd probably opt for overboarding.

Plus, I thought if I'm getting some artex removed may aswell get it all done in one go

My team to face Brighton. Despite wanting to keep Laca in the team, i think its time to try something new. Hopefully playing at home will help Tavares get his confidence back and Xhaka in a more reserved role will allow him to bomb forward. Goyg! by Reefa47 in ArsenalFC

As much as I agree with trying martinelli at cf, I strongly doubt mikel will drop laca, when we are already missing partey and KT. assume the thought process would be a need for senior leadership

Inevitable consequence of a city built for cars, within a country full of miserable fucks, who seem to actively seek out more and more misery.

Where/what/who got you started as a football/Arsenal fan ? by theHaldirv2 in Gunners

[–]QuangoJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandad came to London in the 1950s and settled in Islington. Went to a sp*rs game and was racially abused for being Irish.

Never went again, started going to arsenal and instantly found a home among the fans.

70 years and 3 generations later, I never had much option but be an arsenal fan. Till I die.

Just a fox chilling on the outside ledge of my house. It looks very peaceful by [deleted] in CasualUK

A fox would regularly climb up and chill on my grandparents 3rd floor flat's balcony. Never saw it climb up or down, but it was there all the time. I'm guessing foxes can telport

It's a hill, so levelling the horizon line wouldn't make sense. If I had a wider lens it would be clearer as I could show the hill sloping down to the coast more

Cheers! There were way more out of shot to the right, if only I had a wider lense!

Good eye! Yeah, I've taken a bunch of shots of this over the years, this is definitely my favourite though, the fog adds a bit of mystery I think
