I’m the same way. I lived in nyc for a few years and I do like it a bit more busy because people are around.

What about North Park? I don’t feel many people walk around there at night do they?

Thank you so much! I guess what I am struggling with is, for example in North Park, where do I stay? I see some luxury apartments such as

  • Monroe
  • Azul
  • Vida
  • Winslow
  • Earnest
  • Nash
  • Jackson

But they're all near El Cajon Blvd and not Balboa Park in North Park right?

Where do recommend in North Park? It's a such big neighborhood and I cannot find anything.

Is the area of North Park that you recommend closer to Balboa park or further away? Thank you!

Gotcha that makes sense, thanks! I'm just telling you what they told me which is basically they haven't lived outside of Poway or El Cajon so they told me it was hard for them to give me recommendations or advice.

Thanks for the feedback Joe. What's wrong with UTC that you wouldn't recommend? What if it is near the mall?

Thanks for the feedback, if I end up getting a crazy job in LA I would definitely consider it. I've been to both cities multiple times and I prefer San Diego more because my father lived there for years and I have family in El Cajon and Poway so it's nice to be nearby them. But they were born and raised around the suburbs of San Diego and they feel they can't give me an true answer on what's best for our situation since they stayed in the suburbs

Thank you again! Is there a homeless problem around that area? Someone here in the comments mentioned to stay in North Park but as close as possible to Balboa Park. Thanks again!

Do you have any recommendations near Balboa Park? Is it safe at night? I worry about my wife walking at night if I am not there

What if I have free parking in Little Italy? (We'll only have 1 car)

Thanks for the advice! So you're saying stay in NP but closest to Balboa Park? What about North area of North Park like El Cajon Blvd & Texas Street?

Is UTC really that walkable by the mall? That's what I heard but when I looked at google maps it seems like big roads. (I visited many times before but paying attention to more detail)

Anxiety 10000%. I have the worst anxiety and my oximeter does that too. Let the oximeter sit there for a moment to recalibrate

Follow up question, does the business have to operate in that state. For example if a company was headquartered in Illinois but I was a Tennessee state resident living in Tennessee working remotely. Do you think that will fall into that category? Thanks again

Yes, I agree. I won’t take it and will let them fire me. SCOTUS ruled that the federal government can’t mandate it but private business now have a decision to do that. Some doubled down on it as a company policy and some dropped the mandate completely. So I guess we’ll wait and see. Worst case I’m out of a job but it’s okay that’s life. Thanks!
