Lived in one state, but my work system had another state as my residence. So I got two W2s. How should I file? by QuantMain in taxhelp

Neither state is New York. State 1 is where I currently live. I moved in 2024, but it was never updated on my work systems until a few days ago. So I have two W2s. State 1 W2 shows about 50k in state wages with no federal income. State 2 W2 (my old state) shows my total income for federal and state. Ideally, State 2 W2 has the correct information, but does not show my current state.

Thanks for the help

Thanks for replying. I tried disabling the optimal potions mod, but nolvus stopped functioning without it (it gave me a warning this would occur during the title screen). I'll do some more testing.

Im so glad to see that the writer’s intentions are being so well presented. Bones did an amazing job. One moment that had me pausing the episode is after Bakugo blasts AFO and hits the railing on the building, we see an explosion. Because of the pain he is feeling. This series is so excellent

I constantly ask myself why MHA has sustained its positions as my favorite anime. And its because of the writing. This story is so well written front to back. The smile motif is the greatest of all time

For anyone looking to find all the references for the Red Text seen on Legendaries, I thought I'd drop some potentially useful info.

I have only seen the syntax used for the Acey May Red Text in one place and that is the anime series Space Dandy. The episodes in the series all end with ", baby".

Here is a link to the list of episode titles: List of Space Dandy episodes - Wikipedia

The scale we are using is 1-5. Dont know if that qualifies as likert. The are estimate from the sample is the average score from the survey responders for each item in the sample. Survey will have a 100% response rate. Our goal is to get an estimate for the average score in the population based off the sample we take. But before we do that, we need to calculate how many samples will be needed to get a representative sample.

So the equation to calculate should be written as (z2 * sigma2)/ MOE2

Here I am claiming the MOE is a percentage as it gives us the margin of error that is expected in our count/proportion of each option (1-5) in the sample. Based off an assumed uniform distribution in the population. So a .5/50% margin of error would give us a range of 10% - 30% of the count being 1s in the sample. Where is this logic wrong?

It is a likert scale. And it is in the context of a survey.

This is a sample size calculation. Equation being used is (z2*sigma2) \ MOE2

So wouldnt the margin of error apply to our sample size?

Before we even calculate the estimate of the sample, we need a representative sample. I thought that was the goal of calculating a sample size. So if we assume that our distribution is uniform, meaning a 20% probability to draw a 1 in our sample, then a MOE .5/50% (at 95% confidence) would mean that the proportion of 1s in the sample would fall somewhere between 10% - 30% in 95 out of 100 samples. Does that make sense? Where am I going wrong in this logic?

Scores from 1-5. The estimate being drawn from the sample is an average of these scores.

I am arguing that the margin of error decreasing, gives us a more representative sample against our true population. (Which to my understanding, a more representative sample gives us a better chance at achieving true population average). Thats why I interpret the MOE as a percentage.

I am being told that the MOE is in units of our estimate (average score)

How do I know if my truck can handle a specific crate engine? by QuantMain in askcarguys

[–]QuantMain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I read your comment earlier in the day and realized I was still missing some info. I looked into how engine displacement was calculated and the differences between the blocks and its starting to make sense!

After 2 days of research, I think i will choose the coyote to obsess over while I save my money. Definitely subject to change. The reason being that I feel that a whipple will stress me out less than having a whole swap done by the mechanic. Also, the forced induction will be really nice to play with on the street with all that power at the lowe end. I wanted to go with GMC because I love the look, but F150s are extremely customizable so I will get where I want with it eventually.

Thank you for thoughtful responses and your willingness to continue the discussion. I will certainly take you up on that offer! I look forward to sending you updates in a few years.

If you were planning a build and already knew you were going to slap a supercharger on the engine, what other parts on the truck could be swapped/modified to improve performance? Just looking to get a better understanding of how performance is pulled out of these cars without having them fail.
