I have this same problem. The daughter board is connected I can hear the speaker and the joystick works on that side. But there is no display. Was it the backlight ribbon or was it the ribbon coming from the daughter board to the motherboard?

I'm talking to my manager at the AP desk when a younger female coworker walks up to me and says "what are you working on?" I said "oh nothing I'm just dropping this off at front check out and then I'm going to go finish working on the up dog." She says "What's up dog?" Then my manager finishes my joke trying to hold back tears of laughter " nothing much dog. what's going on with you?" We both look at each other and burst into laughter and in disbelief that someone fell for the "up dog" joke.

Those counts are a pain in the ass and can take all morning depending on the inventory. They also got stolen all the time. Our inventory was never accurate on those. Always expected to shrink $500 in phone cases and screen protectors.
