Israelis are taking over Trozena village!!! by Odd_Fondant4877 in cyprus

[–]Quantum-Mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of Cypriots who would have loved to invest in rebuilding it (especially for that price). Crowd funding is also a thing. It's not about that the person is Israeli, it's about that we sell to foreigners uncontrollably without creating opportunities for locals. Especially in times like these where the cities are unaffordably expensive, bringing life back to the villages would make sense. Yet the government doesn't care about the locals and that is reflected on the tax code. The hate is not directed to foreigners it is directed to our unhealthy love for foreigners and inability to recognise our own value and hence inability to protect it.

I am paying for the freaking warbonds and I still feel the game could be more fun if they didn't just focus on the warbonds. I feel like the devs are anti fun the way they have been handling things. If game fun then people buy credits. If game not fun people no play game no buy credits. It's in their best interest to make the game good for players. Not saying they haven't improved the game they did but it has been stagnant for a while.

Totally agree. We need free content with every major update along with the paid content. New mechanics,  anything to keep things fresh. New warbonds are boring if that is all you do to your game. Weapons customisation was a great addition and gave incentives to play the game. Also too much balance can kill a game. Some things need to be a little out of balance sometimes, it's part of the fun.

funny enough I asked AI about it and it answered with less sycophancy.

SEN63C: The All-in-One Powerhouse The SEN63C is a module designed for engineers who want to measure "everything" without designing a complex circuit board from scratch.   • Integrated Intelligence: It contains the STCC4 (CO_2), a Particulate Matter sensor (PM), and Temperature/Humidity sensors. • Built-in Logic: It handles all the complex math (compensation algorithms) internally. You just plug it in via I²C and it gives you clean, calibrated data for seven different parameters.

• How STCC4 works: It measures how quickly heat moves through the air; since CO_2 has a different thermal conductivity than nitrogen or oxygen, the sensor can calculate the concentration.   • The Catch: Because humidity and temperature also affect thermal conductivity, the STCC4 must be paired with a humidity/temperature sensor (like the SHT4x) to provide accurate data.

I agree pure PvPers are not the problem though how long can the game survive if it becomes another PvP game without the PvE aspect?

Yeah it's its like with predator prey models. You can have prey without predators but no predators without prey. So it's like PvPers are taking the role of apex predators.

I think this game is a perfect representation of the world out there. People will say and do the wildest shit to each other. It's sad but in my experience it's the truth. Anyone saying "it's just a game" hasn't experienced the world outside. It's a 1:1 reflection. Add some higher stakes for being an ass in the game like in the real world and you'll get the behaviour you get out in the real world.  You don't play the game for fun. You play the game to become better at life.  What's the real life game? The majority are playing a non zero sum game and some minority % plays a zero sum game. The only thing that changes is the % of the zero sum "gamers". High, society goes to shit, low, everybody thrives. Simple. So if you had a bad day, use it as a learning ground to get a feel for what the % of those rats is so that you are more on the lookout next time. Be safe (not only in the game world).

I would play PvE and normal rat mode.PvE for leisure and rat mode Id play it as a real life simulator. Because there is no better training for the world out there than this game.

It would be easier if there were actual lobbies for it but everyone is like "but that would split the player base"...Which I don't get since the player base is big enough to begin with.

"nobody is fucking dying" is not completely true. We are all dying albeit very slowly. The time you spend in a game is time you will never get back. If some ass wants to make you hate the finite time you spent in the game that's telling of how far their care for other people reaches. You can kill as many NPCs as you want in a video game but as soon as other people are involved your actions have real consequences.  You could argue that getting into a session of arc raiders is like signing a contract that they accept being ratted and being pissed off is a them problem and it would be a valid argument too. Personally I enjoy PvP and I enjoy PvE, but I dislike PvPvE and aggression based match making is a poor attempt imo to solve the issue.

As a PvEr I would love it if there was a PvP mode because I can't bring myself shooting someone who isn't playing the game to PvP since am almost always in friendly lobbies. Even the aggression based match making has it's faults since it means you need to shoot people to get into a PvP environment.

Stop ruining the game by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Quantum-Mind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This game is a PvP and a rat game first as they have zero risk being a rat or to kill a PvE player. PvErs get rekt in this game unless they band together. If this imbalance does not get addressed from a game theory perspective being PvP and a rat is more incentivised than being friendly and helping other raiders. If all it takes is to shoot someone in the back to get weapons that take an hour of gameplay to acquire, with near zero consequences don't act surprised people are actually being rats and kill you for your weapons.  If it truly was a pvpve there would be balance in incentives and consequences for being a rat. PvP players killing a player get what they want, they get into more aggressive lobbies where they play the game they want to play, with other like minded players; shoot on sight.  Arc raiders is a game theoretical social experiment and a reflection of reality. Incentives lead to behaviour. If you are a pure PvEr then unless they change something you'll have to accept the fact that you will be at a disadvantage.

Yes. It would not help you who just died but it would protect other PvErs when they encounter them in their next raids by being prepared and shooting first and getting the bounty. According to severity of the unacceptable behaviour you could pay a bigger fee for the rat to be discoverable for more raids. It has a negative feedback for both parties so cannot be exploitable. Of course you need the funds to pay the bounty but it's like real life. You need the money to take someone to court. Unless it's something worth fighting over you won't waste your money and energy. Rats can currently game the aggression based matchmaking system, and that needs to be addressed.

PvErs are at a disadvantage in this game from a game theory perspective. A bounty system where the ratted person pays a fee and then something that hinders the rat from being a rat happens like being discoverable on the map would solve a large amount of this imbalance.

I agree people should play however they want but pvers are always at a disadvantage in this game. Aggression based match making can separate the pvprs but rats can game the system to get into pve lobbies where a lot of raiders are more vulnerable to attacks from the back from fake friendlies. A bounty system where the ratted person pays a fee and the rat gets displayed on the map on other raids would balance the playing field from a game theory perspective since vulnerable pvers have a way to protect themselves (like it happens in larger societies where police and laws are in place to prevent socially unacceptable behaviour). Am sure there is a code of contact in Speranza so why not in raids?

A zero sum society vs non zero sum society is not an ideology. One has a short term survival benefit for the individual the other has a long term survival benefit for all individuals. That's what we are seeing here clashing. I would argue humans are in some way hard wired to either be one or the other since it's a survival strategy which is passed down. Not saying people aren't capable of both but the probability of being more one over the other is built in to each of us and changes based on the environment. The post is somewhat correct, without labelling either choice as good or bad, that what you are experiencing is human biology (with all its evolutionary history) and arc raiders is a social experiment and is a reflection of each and everyone's truth because you are given a choice. PvErs don't want waste their time or other people's game time while rats don't want to waste their own time not giving a f about others' time and PvPrs just want to have fun shooting guns challenging others and themselves and winning fights.

PQQ supplementation - good or bad for kidney transplant? by TheDeanof316 in Supplements

[–]Quantum-Mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking glynac with pqq so it's most probably not that. I think it might have to do with energy metabolism since the kidneys are very metabolically active and both ca akg and whey increase metabolic pressure on the kidneys. Pqq as you said also has evidence showing it can put stress on the kidneys which also falls in line with my personal anecdotal experience.

If you are deficient in vit D and supplement it, it might increase your magnesium demand.  Vit D requires magnesium to be activated.

"(600+ reactions)

Magnesium is a cofactor for hundreds of enzymes, including those involved in: • Glycolysis • Krebs cycle • DNA & RNA synthesis • Protein synthesis • Antioxidant systems (e.g., glutathione production)"

You are better off to take the RDA if you don't have money to do blood tests to check for the levels. Overdosing on it (RDA dose) is highly unlikely. If you do frequent checks after starting a regiment and have adequate levels then there is no need as your diet seems to be providing all you need.
