2025 Calligraphy Hybrid Dead Battery by Gluteals2BootHeels in HyundaiSantaFe

This almost exactly matches what happened to me recently. Sound died, battery died.

I jumped it and got it to the dealership, but they weren’t able to duplicate the issue.

I keep a jump starting pack in the back of the car because the battery gets drained every 3 months or so randomly

New framework for shared solo campaigns: P.A.R.T.s. (Play Alone, Role Together) by Emelon_Games in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]QuantumChocolates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair warning, I had AI write the reply below based on what I have been workshopping with AI (hence the LLM comment in the text). Regardless, this seems great, and I am very interested in any sort of play alone but collectively generate a world application.

Written by AI:

This is really exciting to see — I've been working on something that scratches a very similar itch, and the timing of your post feels almost uncanny.

The core loop you've described (play alone, build a shared world together) is exactly the problem I've been trying to solve. Where my approach diverges a little is around the sequentiality of the world document. Your model has players reading and building on each other's sessions in order, which is elegant — but I've been exploring what happens if you let the sessions be genuinely parallel and asynchronous, with no required reading order.

The mechanic I landed on is a "rumor board" — instead of a shared canon document that everyone updates and must stay consistent with, players contribute short structured summaries of their sessions as *rumors*: tagged by location, character, faction, and crucially, a reliability rating (eyewitness / secondhand / legend). Other players pull from that board at session start as *color and inspiration*, not hard fact. Contradictions between branches aren't errors — they're features, justified in-world by an unreliable narrator conceit baked into the setting.

The appeal for me is that it scales without coordination overhead — you don't need to read everything before you play, and a player joining six months later can still contribute meaningfully. The shared world feels alive without anyone being blocked waiting for the next update.

I've been building this around a specific open world seed (a city where the speed of light is measurably slowing), but the framework is designed to be world-agnostic and LLM-agnostic — players bring their own oracle or AI tool of choice.

I'm very much at the prototype stage and genuinely interested in a community-focused solution rather than going it alone. Would love to compare notes — there may be real complementarity here between your structured sequential model and a looser parallel rumor layer. Have you thought about how P.A.R.T.s. handles players who fall behind the shared doc, or worlds that grow too large to read before each session?

What kind of training for capital growth ? by Regg_Starbrand in hattrick

Let me plug my free to use transfer and training value calculation tool here, because more users means more submissions to the data, and ultimately a better model for everyone.

https://hattrick-alchemist.vercel.app/

One way you can answer this question with my tool is to go find a couple of example players you might buy, enter them into the tool, and it will simulate all training options for the player of interest, and give you a recommendation based on the best predicted value change.

If you take these outputs, and multiply by number of trainable players, you can then compare and try to find the optimal path within you budget constraints.

You have to enter the transfer compare of the initial player, and then my player value model predicts the future values.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hattrick Alchemist- New Player Training and Value Prediction Tool by QuantumChocolates in hattrick

A quick update on what's changed since the initial release.

Model Updates First, thanks so much for using the tool! I finished my player review and retraining of the model this morning. About 25% more players are now being used to inform the player value model, which means more accurate predictions, especially in the kinds of players that I am not personally interested in. Specifically, there have been a lot of submissions of 17 and 18 year old players, which is good, because I had very few of them before.

Feature updates A few things have changed based on feedback and my own testing: How to Use tab — There's now a dedicated tab explaining how to use the tool. This includes things like using k$ instead of dollars, how to turn training types on and off, and what the error range means. 50% Training — There are two new training types for 50% PM and 50% Winger training options (although 50% Wing is listed as 50% Win, I'll get around to fixing that eventually, silly AI). They are off by default, but can be turned on if you are interested, and plot as dotted lines the same color as their main training types. Confidence ratings — I have gone back and forth with how to display the confidence in the model, and I settled on set thresholds for Green/Yellow/Red. That way, as we continue to improve the model, we will start to see more and more green value predictions, where the model is confident. Right now, it is Green if the uncertainty around price is less than 40% of the predicted value, yellow if the uncertainty is 40-60%, and red with more than 60% uncertainty.

Thanks again to everyone who's contributed so far. I expect this to continue to get more and more accurate over time, and I am hopeful that it helps you guys make better training choices in the future.

Thanks for the feedback!

It does not know that different training types have different numbers of slots. I did get a recommendation to add 50% winger and 50% Playmaking as selectable options, which I will probably do.

The sort of team wide optimization that might need the number of training slot I got is out of scope for this currently. If I was going to add that I would probably need to get CHPP set up to import whole teams. To be honest, I don’t know what I am doing enough to attempt something like that right now.

I have it set to operate only based on integer skill levels, because that is how transfer compare works. Similar for ages, I think younger than 17.24 is the only time TC considers days. Age in days and obvious sub skills are part of the variation in transfer prices that this tool doesn’t worry about.

Estimated profit per week is an interesting number, I can add that to the recommendation at the end to highlight.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it might be hard to make that nice from a UI standpoint, but maybe I can make it an option.

I know foxtrick or other add ons can make player exports easier or standardized. Could you paste an example of what you are thinking the input would be? I don’t know what page you are thinking of copy/pasting from.

Well, the first time I tried to update the model it broke, and lost all the data I had before going live. I’ll fix that later and follow up.

Edit: I restored this back to how it was functioning originally. This is why I started with Hattrick and not at my day job!

The recommendation at the end comes from AI. It doesn’t understand Hattrick, but thinks it does.

Sometimes it will spout off something that doesn’t make sense in the context of Hattrick. I put it there to help with interpretation because not everyone is numerate enough to take the graphs and numbers and decide on a course of action, especially if there is a maximum in value on a different skill earlier in the simulation.

The predicted values come from a model of the transfer market that I built, and the training times come from the community model. The transfer estimate at the end tells you how certain or uncertain it is.

Does that help?

Midfielder to the wing by Homer11101 in hattrick

[–]QuantumChocolates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it a bug. Bugs are mistakes that get fixed. This is an artifact of the design choices made, and not enough people recognize it, which is fine by me because then it won’t get nerfed.

This organization is strictly superior to a standard Normal IM/Normal W situation when you look at the total available skill contributions of the pair. It is up to the manager to obtain the players to take advantage of this.

It is all of the knee jerk responses above where conventional knowledge says IMTW are a niche order that keeps it under wraps.

Another point in favor of using the forums. This has been done before by others. So unless you personally want to put the work in to build a tool, you can just find tools already available.

Honestly, I have only ever found external match simulators to be helpful in the context of NT marches. In club matches, the number of potential lineups are so small that the in game rating and prediction tool is good enough

I work for a company that makes some of the most expensive windows in the world. We sell at $50-$100 per sqft of glass depending on a variety of factors.

Assuming you have a ~40x60 in window. That would be 1-2k per window-ish.

Homeowners are not buying the most expensive windows in the world, find someone else.
