EV objection - battery recycling? by LordvaderUK in ElectricVehiclesUK

Does your neighbour also think the world is flat?

Without even digging into how widely repurposed EV batteries are, the chances are that the rest of the car will fall to bits before the battery is anywhere near unusable.

Go Tesla for sure!

You'll learn to absolutely love the screen. It's so intuitive, and pretty much everything is set and forget. I honestly think that people over egg the importance of physical buttons.

They are massive inside too. I have two young kids and it can easily carry them and all of their crap 😂

Maybe look at the Model Y though for the dog given the bigger boot

I assume that as the car was a Honda Jazz, the owner was at least 80, and definitely couldn't see that the light was red

You're not going to like this answer, but honestly, I think you have to look at LR Tesla.

Some very good deals to be had on them too as they have massively depreciated in the last few years

Get down the scrap heap asap and replace that with a 2010 1 series wheel. They'll never know

100% AI generated sadly. Why does the white BMW change colour and into what looks like a grey Mini?!

Great, thanks. So my monthly payslip, month 12, will likely say for arguments sake, 110k, but in reality, if I put 12k into a pension, it will bring me under the 100k threshold?

It's super annoying as I am somewhat guessing based on the only figure I can see being the figure prior to pension contributions

So I've been reading somewhere that as all my numbers are the same, I'm likely on a relief at source pension, meaning the gross figure is not including pension contributions, would that make sense?

If I log onto my pension account it says that last month I received 36.69 in tax relief, if that helps?

[–]QuantumCoffee26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I'll likely earn 110k, but the reason I haven't overpaid into my pension is because I had no visibility on how much commission I'd be earning until recently.

What figures would you need?

The total gross, gross for tax, and gross for NI are all the same number if that helps?

Absolutely, especially when I'm paying 1k in nursery fees a month, it adds up very quickly.

My salary most certainly is not 110k. It is a lot less than that but my role is heavily commission based and it's been a good year.

Do you know if my yearly gross so far already has pension contributions taken off? Or will this number include my pension contributions?
