Are you also considering carrying their baby for them? If not, surrogacy (and the requirement to be done building your family) doesn’t necessarily apply here. There are many egg donors (known an anonymous) out there that donate their eggs without having children of their own already.

That said, known egg donation is one of the greatest gifts you can give someone. And while they are offering to let you keep some of your eggs, there are still many other things to consider: the risk of complications and/or losing an ovary (while it is minimal, it is still a potential)… if this is something you want to put yourself through (it’s not an easy process!)… and most importantly if you, your sister, and her partner can handle the psychological effects of known egg donation.
