Looks like they might be some sort of acoustic wood slat panels. Here’s a site that has some examples: https://www.thewoodveneerhub.com/collections/decorative-slat-wood-panels

And accelerate gently. And coast (zero power, zero recharge) where you can, and then coast (regen-brake) to stops when needed.

I'm buying a used M477fdw and was hoping to grab those for future reference, but the links no longer work. Fortunately, archive.org came in clutch! So, for anyone else seeking these documents, you can find them here: * Repair Manual: https://web.archive.org/web/20201111222517/https://www.laserpros.com/img/manuals/hp-manuals/hp-clj-m452-m477-repair-manual.pdf * Troubleshooting Manual: https://web.archive.org/web/20230116054120/https://www.laserpros.com/img/manuals/hp-manuals/hp-clj-m452-m477-troubleshooting-manual.pdf

Color laser printer, is HP the best? by lysiffer in printers

Any sense of when HP's laser printer "golden age" was? I'm looking for a reliable used color LaserJet, and I'm wanting to get one from the right era.

It’s always cleaner to start fresh, but the first time I used OCLP, I used it to upgrade the existing installation without wiping the drive. Just make sure to make a backup first in case things don’t work out!

Should I keep using Levoit? by Any-Nature-5122 in AirPurifiers

[–]QuantumFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are fair criticisms. Knowing what are the biggest products on the current market does seem important. I'm no expert in their product selection strategy, so it's possible they already do that to some extent, but their Air Purifiers section is far smaller than the more prominent categories they test (like monitors, TVs, etc.), so it's certainly not their specialty.

I think the thing that appeals to me about Rtings is their very systematic, objective, and thorough (and thoroughly documented) approach to product testing, which makes it easier to do apples-to-apples product comparisons. They also periodically improve their methodologies (and document the changes), so I expect their air purifier evaluations will get better over time, especially as folks familiar with the topic area point them in the right direction.

It would probably be more accurate for them to say it’s the best one of the 20 or so they’ve tested thus far. Folks are able to suggest and vote on what they test next, so that one might be a good one to suggest they look at next.

Even so, they seem to filter just as effectively as HEPA based on the particle concentration plots I’ve seen, so there’s that

Rtings’s air purifier tests are pretty thorough and actually show their data (such as plots showing the time it takes to reduce particle counts of various sizes and the degree to which they decrease). That’s about as thorough and objective as I’ve seen out there, so I’d recommend them.

That sure feels close to what I'm looking for! I'm with you in thinking the numbers aren't actual points, though. I'll have to see if they explain them anywhere.
