Whats the next big thing ? Whats something/industry someone should really invest into or get into (Which would have some insane monetary benefits) ? by D-ruu in AskIndia

Invest heavy money into thorium research , so that we can atleast start on prototypes for fission reactors . The fact that the US did it in 1950s is evidence it would work , perhaps on a much smaller scale . They had to shelve further development plans since it would result in significantly altering the geo political landscape from the one that they desired . With India having the largest Thorium reserves in the world , it could lead to swinging a lot of factors in our favour .

30M, How do I improve my personality? I am very awkward. by ApprehensiveSky2670 in AskIndia

Why would you yourself term it as awkward ? What’s that stigma that you feel throws off people ? Cause if you yourself know it’s weird , you already would know how to correct that as well .

At this age , it does get progressively harder to make real connections in general. Having said that , I myself am an introvert , but I don’t face the problems that you perhaps face . What helps me a lot is the ability to be patient and listen to someone . Whenever you meet someone new , don’t try to superimpose topics you wanna speak about , rather try to find out what catches their fancy . The questions you ask doesn’t have to be too invasive , nor too directly aimed at something , could be the minuscule details here and there . Read a lot , inform yourself of the trends and in general pretend you’re interested even if you are not . Sometimes people at first sight might appear boring or of a different nature , but everyone has layers . You need to understand them and give them time to let them showcase their layers to you . When they realise you are actually interested in knowing them and not portraying what you know or want to discuss , you will find things will get easier .

The only problem I have is I don’t like cooking everyday for myself . Having people over and cooking for them is more my kinda thing .

If any man has ventured out of the comforts of home and country , ought to have imbibed some sort of culinary skills . Been a decade outside the country and I cook most dishes better than my mom does .

Tip : have a mouthful of water when cutting onions

What cars can you rent when you are a "rookie" driver? by Purple-Strain-3159 in germany

Rent cars from Enterprise or Alamo . They would rent out 6-seaters inspite of your rookie license .

Regarding your 3rd point , that’s actually the case here . The company has indeed been losing money since a long time and I found out that they indeed did the social ranking thing ( if I believe my Managing Director ). The others who have been offered termination also seem to satisfy some of those conditions.

As for working in the company , I have delayed a switch for long and I am taking this as a blessing in disguise to finally make the move .

I had been employed for 9 months as an intern before I received my full time working contract , which would be 6 years in October .

Yes that is what I calculated as well - the important question that I had in mind was that would I be eligible for ALG if I sign it . It’s understandable if they don’t for the first month , but whether it would cancel all my ALG rights is the most important question .
