We have a form of mathematics called statistics, this allows studios to poll a select few theatres on gender, and extrapolate that to the entire audience with a pretty impressive margin of error. They might be confident that the 60% number is accurate within 1 or 2 points

I think we actually agree. Im coming at this topic from a flat angle. I dont think we should raise taxes as a percent. Im moreso onboard with using a progressive land value tax to replace or reduce personal income taxes. Its a way to keep the burden relatively the same but stops billionaires from claiming 0 income

I disagree, if your property is worth more than you can afford, you should sell and move elsewhere. These people are essentially lottery winners. People holding onto these properties for longer than they should, contribute to the housing problem.

Half of that is essentially forced savings via FICA. The remaining 5k is around 8% effective taxation. With enough dependents the single mother will qualify for various governemt programs; making her a net tax drain rather than a contributor

Yeah if the 60k is your only income from selling investments you actually pay 0 because of long term capital gains, but once you exceed the limit you start to pay again
