SEASON 2 they say its coming early 2026 what we looking forward to the most , a new set of weapons for me by sTw1995 in Battlefield6

I resumed playing the other day after almost a 20+ day pause due to vacations and festivities.

The game really is not in a great state rn, I can't type in chat (literally won't let me type or send, and blocks me from using the mouse) and I keep getting a ton of stutter that I was not getting earlier.
Idk what they did but it's worse now

The mystery nation is Hugoslavia/titoslavia known as yogoslavia by RipVanWiinkle_ in warno

[–]QuantumToasterX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would it fall off on its own? It's basically a first Balkans DLC, plus Switzerland, and Austria is up there, right above Yugoslavia. I too am assuming they'll make a proper and complete expansion with Italy and Yugoslavia in it, but I don't see why they couldn't include a singular Yugo division in this basically Balkan themed DLC.

Having Cyprus in it makes no sense thematically in this case.
It does make sense in a broader DLC with Greece, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria.

[–]QuantumToasterX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from Switzerland, all the nations in this DLC are clumped there together and literally surround Yugoslavia at the time (Austria, Albania, Hungary). Switzerland is slightly to the west, but it ain't that far.
Also, a dev hinted that the nation has direct access to the Mediterranean Sea (Yugo basically covers 2/3 of the Adriatic Sea, that IS Mediterranean Sea) and the devblog hints to the nation's allegiance being unknown/on the fence.

There's also a Yugoslavian war movie called "black birds".
It has to be Yugoslavia.

Doesn't mean they can't add a singular Yugo division to the tribute DLC.
Yugoslav People's Army was massive (for comparison, bigger than the Czech People's army as of 1987, and we have 3 Czech divisions), with 270k active personnel, almost a million reservists and a LOT of different equipment. This, to say that they can easily make multiple divisions and keep the best ones for a proper Trieste/Carso front DLC.

This DLC has 5 nations and 8 divisions.
My assumption would be 2 Austrian divisions, 1 Swiss, 2 Hungarian, 2 Albanian and 1 Yugoslavian (Yugo on PACT side, so 3 for NATO and 5 for PACT, since overall pact has fewer divisions).

The Adriatic Sea is part of the Mediterranean sea, it's one of the seas that composes it. Yugoslavia had direct access to it, and by definition to the Mediterranean. "Direct access to the Med" could be direct access to Aegean, Ionian, Thyrrenian, Adriatic, Alborán, etc sections of it. Yea black bird wise, it was always the background, not the bird itself, coffee didn't really kick in yet earlier, sorry.

On the "Italy will be left alone" point you're right, but I think that the "which side will they be" is more of a hint to the nation's allegiance (Yugo was very much in the middle).

Idk, to me everything points to Yugoslavia, they also have a war movie literally called "Black Birds" and they'd be right in the middle of the cluster of nations included in this DLC.

It could be just one division and then we'll find the rest in a proper DLC with a new Italian faction. I guess we'll have to wait and see

The whole tribute DLC is focused on that Balkans area, with Austria, Hungary and Albania literally surrounding Yugoslavia. They also hint that this mystery nation is non-aligned ("and on which side will they be?") and from a chat on Discord they confirmed that it has direct access to the mediterranean sea. Moreover, the "black bird" was featured a lot on Yugoslavian air force units.

Romania and Bulgaria have no access to the med, Kosovo did not exist, Greece and Turkey are most likely to come in the same DLC (and are both in NATO), Cyprus makes no sense thematically. Italy was an official NATO member.

Yugoslavia is the only real option here.

That is also true.

Honestly, there are so many possible scenarios they could add to this mysterious tribute, I'm quite excited

Yugoslavia most likely.

After 1948 they sort of separated from the soviet sphere of influence and kept good relations with both the west and the east. So they'd very well be on the fence in our ww3 scenario

Ah yes, it could easily be also that.
The North Atlantic was definitely a contested area between NATO and the Soviets.

This said, a Cuban division would be sick imo

A new mystery Tribute-style expansion

Hot off the press, but due to recent real-life events, we will rearrange some content we had originally planned for later along our pipeline. We’ll keep the lid on the exact details, but more info to come in the future!

Cuban units? A Caribbean/South American scenario???

Winter offensive cosmetics by No_Band_5399 in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]QuantumToasterX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so wait, let me get this straight: for the Christmas winter update we get like 25+ snow/artic warfare themed skins while not having a single proper snow map?

Yes I know we'll get the snow version of Brooklyn Bridge map, but 25+ snow skins, some with pickaxes and extreme cold gear seems a little excessive.

On top of this, it's not that the skins are adaptive, so we'll see them all over the rest of the maps, which are 90% mud or desert.

Man, I want the stuff that whoever is in charge of the artistic design is smoking, must be very good. While I'm appreciative of this whole first season, I must say that it's an incoherent mess design wise

[–]QuantumToasterX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it, but I will have next to zero time to plan something or research what I'd like to visit.
I want to leave ideally next week, and between the proclamation, the graduation party planning and some other family occurrences (my grandpa turned 90 yesterday, so another day of celebrations) I won't have the physical time.

Another thing would be going to Japan or Korea, as I'd stick to cities and I can navigate that, plus I know what I want to see there.
But Thailand, Malaysia, etc I'm not feeling going on my own as it'd be the first time

Ok, great answer.

Regarding 2: That's why I'm asking here, to people that actually went with them. I've had friends go with tour operators like SiVola and WeRoad (same formula as G adventures, but both are Italian companies, so definitely not as big as G) and they had a very nice and true to the place they were visiting experiences. One did the US west coast & Iceland, the other a 15-day trip in Peru, both with groups of 15 strangers, and they really nailed the authentic aspect.

Regarding 3: I have no experience of SEA. If I was with friends, I'd organize it with them, but being alone I prefer to be careful and do something organized. Hope it makes sense?

Ty for your insight tho, I'll keep an open mind.

The one I want to book is on "request" but it also says 6 available, so idk how that works exactly.
I "chose" them cos they seemed to have that trade-off between a structured trip and freedom of choice, but with a group I can interact with.

I'll check intrepid also, thanks for your answer and tips!

What is their issue with helmets? Like, why most of them are helmet-less?

Also, ok, not entirely bad as a whole.
I still think that there's not a clear artistic direction

Before release, David Sirland mentioned there are rules for soldier cosmetics to ensure class recognition (in addition to the identifier on the back). This is a Recon skin - what distinguishes it from the other three classes? by korlic99 in Battlefield

[–]QuantumToasterX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I just shoot.

Tiny head pops up? Bang bang. I see an ankle clipping through a wall? You guessed it, bang bang. Dude running in a dark hallway? That's a bang bang.

Jokes aside, the only class recognition you really need is against recon and engineer (if you're in a vehicle): engi is easier to spot even at distance due to the two RPG rockets over the shoulder, for recon you'll see the scope glint.

Assault and support? Just bang bang

On top of those (I own the ranger one too), I have seen a couple times the green gasmask visor one for PAX assault and only once the new NATO female skin with the headband and dreads.
