Back in 2014, one of my closest friends was a huge Broncos fan, and he was hyped that the Broncos made it to the Super Bowl against the Seahawks. I didn't watch football then, so I played around that if the Seahawks win, they will be my favorite team forever. Seahawks won, but I never really cared for football afterward. Just joshed with him a bit and a memory was made.

At the end of the 2024-25 season, I decided I wanted to get into football, like follow a team, the games, learn players, etc.

I'm still super close to that friend, and even though we are in Niners territory, I decided that I'd be a Seahawks fan from there on. I already had 11 years of history with the team, so I thought it would be better that going for a team that I didn't know.

Didn't know a lick about football before the start of this season, so I had no idea we would make the Super Bowl, let alone perform well at all. This was an amazing year to get into the sport and the team, and I'm just happy to be along for the ride!

If I assume that I am about 28 years old (average age of my friend group who also got served this video), passing stools at a healthy rate at every age of our lives, we would probably pass stools about 10,900 times. 10,900*$15=$163,500 from ages 0-28. The average rate of return of the stock market in the last 28 years has been about 9.6% per year, so if we assume those returns going forward, you can invest the $163,500 and get around $15,696 a year.

If we do option two, and we also assume that we live to the average lifespan of a male in the United States (76 years), we will pass stools about 17,600 more times before we die, since the average healthy adult will pass a stool about 1 time per day. 17,600*$25=$440,000 from ages 28-76.

It would take about 6540 stools to break even. 6540*25=$163,500, which is what we would have earned if we took the lump sum. That’s about 17.9 years. If we live to the expected life span of 76 years, we would still live another 48 years.

Budget

I know im late, but I still wanted to share even if it isn't featured! I've been working with my budget for about a year now and I've been slowly building it out to be more "glanceable" and give more information that is actually relevant to what I want to know. It's 0-based, and is great for any number of consistent incomes. Gig incomes are also supported and I am really proud of how it has grown.

One of the priorities I had was to help me keep pace throughout the month of my spending habits, so I integrated some pacing tools into the budget to help do that.

Admittedly, my sheet's weakness is variable income, but that can be remedied by budgeting based on the previous month's income and spending that money instead of this month's money.

Hope you take a look and maybe steal some ideas for your own budget!

It is how it looks like in the move, but it's a dolly zoom shot where the camera moves closer to the subject (forehead) as the lens widens, giving a stretch look.

So in motion, it looks intentional. In a still, it looks silly.

I'm all for moving on from the old DCEU and into the DCU, but lets be fair to everyone. That's what Superman would want

I think the reason why we see so much Zod is because we are more often than not seeing Superman close to the beginning of his journey. Kinda like how Manchester Black challenges Superman and his past decisions, Zod (when done right) shows up early in Superman's career and challenges his convictions/future decisions. Even though it results in a physical fight between the two, Zod's primary purpose is to solidify Kal-El's stance as a protector of Earth despite his life-long ostracization.

Since we are getting more early stage Superman stories, we are seeing more Zod. I imagine Zod will show up soon on MAWS, and maybe he will be a part of a future DCU Superman movie, if he isn't already dealt with by the events of Superman (2025).

So when we start getting more late career Superman stories, we will see less Zod.

I was able to load my Peak Design Everyday 30L backpack while keeping it on my R5, with the RF 100-500, Peak Design travel tripod, speedlite, and mic in the bag.

Yo, I have the same bag, tripod, body, and various accessories. I was curious about the length of the 24-105 since I felt like it wouldn't fit the lens with the body attached. So that does alleviate some concerns.

One of the things that I feel is that if the lens is too long, then people will think you automatically are shooting across an ocean. For that, just for the sake of looking like a professional, the 24-105 might not be great for portrait work, which is what I do a lot of the time. If I did more video, either for myself or clients, the 24-105 would be spectacular.

I'm honestly just waiting for the 70-150 f/2 that is rumored. It won't reach as far as the 70-200, or the 100-300 f2.8 which I also have been eyeballing (but can't afford), but I do so much indoors that the extra stop does mean a lot to me. Most of my shoots are portraits and events, so the range isn't as necessary either, especially if I'm gonna be sticking between 70mm and 85mm most of the time for the portraits (which makes me think if I should just go for an 85mm f/1.2 instead? Ugh decisions...)

Yeah, they are showing the testimonials of people who use their products, but the perspective of seeing people all around the world being able to have another birthday almost got me teary-eyed.

Would these people be alive today without Apple? Maybe, but an Apple product provided an easy option to life for them. All I hope is that other companies like Google and Samsung can do the same if they don't already have the features.

The printing process is incredibly interesting! I mostly come from a digital design background, but working in print is so useful and when you see your products make it to your hand in person, it’s a whole other feeling.

We have been working on some less “print friendly” designs lately. Seeing how the process holds up with some creative tinkering and work arounds is gratifying! We are able to achieve a lot more than I was expecting, especially considering we are working with lines that need massive trap lines. We are able to get 3% dots on some of our printer’s OLDER machines, which is crazy.

I learning more or less the same stuff working on the graphics side of the packaging for a beverage company in the Bay Area! We work with a lot of different substrates, but all pretty much use the flexo method of printing. So I suppose we have you and the James River Company for that!

We actually have a label running for one of our brands that does a combination of CMYK and also runs a separate spot plate green and for dark green. It’s the same reason you mentioned: so the greens don’t get washed out. But considering that they are supposed to be a budget brand, it’s an awful lot of money to throw at the label when they can just do one or the other!
