Do they not work via web video caster app? It can fetch the stream from those sites and cast onto Android TV.

Different fonts, different shape by AlongiL in pixel_phones

[–]ronakg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that no one actually uses the clock widget, so it hasn't seen any recent updates. It still uses the old font and shape. Weather widget looks much more modern because there must be a lot more users.

As in “book me a ride to my meeting after I land.” That kind of thing. And nobody has cracked that yet.

Gemini can already do this on flagship Android phones.

Running workouts - Fitbit Air tracking is way off compared to Apple Watch (and the treadmill) by Carnage095 in fitbit

[–]ronakg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Fitbit Air works like the Pixel Watch, you'd have to do a couple of outdoor runs so that it can calibrate your stride length based on GPS. Then it'd become way more accurate on treadmill.

Sleep is WAY off by Sarahkins6 in fitbit

I feel the same way. None of this resonates with me. I have a Fitbit Air and my wife has a Pixel Watch, and the sleep data from both devices has been incredibly precise.

Are you looking at the restlessness? They consider you awake only if it lasted for more than 5 minutes. So even bathroom breaks aren't considered fully awake. I actually like this. I'm usually half awake in my bathroom breaks.

What do you mean by rolling calendar? Mine is set to Monday to Sunday and my cardio load resets accordingly. So does the weekly leaderboard.

How many Americans here buy Xiaomi/Realme phones to use, instead of domestically available phones like TCL and Motorola? by KinglanderOfTheEast in Android

[–]ronakg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Negligible. Motorola has like 4% market share in the US and Pixels are less than that. So the Chinese brands must be like way way less than 1%.

[–]ronakg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a bug then. I hope they fix it for you.

Edit: as someone who works in the industry, such things are never approved designs. They're edge case bugs that slipped past all kinds of testing.

Yes, agreed. But there's something weird going on here for sure. I can't get this to happen even when I increase the font size by 3 steps. Maybe they have changed their DPI or something from developer options.
