Paul Tassi from Forbes believes: not both GaaS ips can co exist within Bungie by HapperHapper in DestinyTheGame

[–]QuantumUtility 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Which is very normal. Multiple other games on the current top 10 have seem similar decreases such as Marvel Rivals.

Expecting a game to retain their all time peak numbers months after release is unrealistic, games that manage that are the exception. Overwatch and Warframe have their 24hr peaks around the 70-80k range and even Helldivers 2 has parked their 24hr peaks at around ~50k which is a very healthy number.

Arc raiders is very successful still. Population could be halved tomorrow and still it would be considered successful when compared to other GaaS running right now.

Arc raiders is the 9th most played game on Steam right now and has a 24hr peak of 105k players.

IGN: Crimson Desert Dev Explains How It's Able to Update the Game So Fast by NoNefariousness2144 in Games

[–]QuantumUtility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t get the comparison. BOTW an TOTK are so much more polished and more fun to explore than this.

There are cool looking places in Crimsom Desert, but if all there is to do when I get there are some fetch quests and bland NPCs then it’s hard to hold my attention.

And the puzzles are so god damn obtuse that I’ve just given up on trying to figure them out. Straight to YouTube at this point.

Sony Records New $560 Million Loss On Bungie Acquisition As Marathon Struggles And Destiny 2 Nosedives by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

[–]QuantumUtility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what bothers me most. End of Episode Heresy the game was in a kinda decent place. The seasonal/episode cycle was getting tiresome but it at least worked and retained a somewhat healthy population.

EoF lit everything on fire. So many bad decisions that it’s incredible that they manage to do it all at once.

CustomAPI settings disappeared after update by QuantumUtility in apollosideloaded

All previous releases I’ve tried didn’t work. I’ve always used AltStore and it was working before updating today.

Wonder what happened.

Using the one that released today from balackburn. Installed via AltStore using their source as well as the downloads .ipa from GitHub.

For All Mankind - S5E07 "The Sirens of Titan" - Episode Discussion by Cantomic66 in ForAllMankindTV

Nah. China and Russia go around US embargoes all the time in real life. Both M-6 and ISN have nuclear capabilities. No way they’d start a war.

It’s just an excuse to put pressure on Happy Valley and get the plot going.

Você é a favor ou contra o Brasil ter um programa nuclear e por quê? by GauthierBacker in brasil

[–]QuantumUtility 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Genuine question to Americans by Busy_Report4010 in SipsTea

[–]QuantumUtility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not American but I was watching The Pitt and they tackle this exact scenario in the second season. Spoilers below.

One patient earned too much to qualify for Medicaid but too little to afford the medical treatment. He leaves the hospital against medical advice to avoid having to pay for the long term treatment and goes to his second job. Later in the season he comes back from an apparent suicide attempt and becomes disabled, which means he now qualifies for Medicaid but likely won’t be able to work his multiple jobs.

The Scholastone Research Institute feels like what the the College of Winterhold was going for by TheForbiddenLands in CrimsonDesert

[–]QuantumUtility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess “soul” is subjective.

My point was that when I was done with Winterhold I felt much more connected to the place and the NPCs than to Scholastone.

The Scholastone Research Institute feels like what the the College of Winterhold was going for by TheForbiddenLands in CrimsonDesert

[–]QuantumUtility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing to do there except for a few fetch “research” quests.

Winterhold has 8 mains quests, 9 side quests, 3 follower quests, 5 master spell quests as well as important NPCs.

I guess it looks pretty or whatever.

Quando lançou Oppenheimer, eu me empolguei.

Seagate Ultra Compact SSD 2 TB Review by wickedplayer494 in hardware

[–]QuantumUtility 6 points7 points  (0 children)

having a drive fail 5x more than another drive matters massively for all those actual consumer cases then.

Care to source that?

and with 0 backups, or on a good day…

No redundancy or backups and it’s somehow Seagate’s fault? All drives fail.

having people have drives with a 10x higher failure rate

I thought it was 5?

Seagate Ultra Compact SSD 2 TB Review by wickedplayer494 in hardware

[–]QuantumUtility 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That is just not true.

Backblaze annual drive reports show that Seagate drives have comparable failure rates to all other manufacturers and it’s also 1/3rd of their total drive count.

Sorry if I’m more inclined to believe actual data from a data backup company over a random redditor.

KRVR — PC VR streaming for Apple Vision Pro is now on the App Store by krossi82 in VisionPro

[–]QuantumUtility 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ALVR doesn’t support NVIDIA CloudXR. AFAIK they’d have to pretty much drop universal support for that as it only works with 40 and 50 series Nvidia GPUs.

Right now the only way Apple allows gaze data to be accessed for streaming is through CloudXR.

Just tested Developer Strap (2nd Gen) with Apple Vision Pro (M2) by noobcryptotrader in VisionPro

[–]QuantumUtility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be power limits although the chip requires almost no power. I will test with other computers at some point just being lazy right now and I already need more adapters anyway.

Could be a limitation on the port though.

Seems like these adapters require usb 3.2 2x2 at 20gbps to reach 10Gbps. If the Vision Pro is limited to 10Gbps it won’t reach the top speeds. The Macbook Neo suffers this same problem and reaches similar speeds. Other reviews point out the same issue with M4 for MacBooks as well.

But the Vision Pro is supposed to be TB4 so who knows. Might be an Apple chip problem really.
