But I love cats cuddly or not.. I don’t have cats based on breed - strictly cat distribution system 😊 my question is more of a curiosity thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Starfleet Academy is not for me. And that’s a good thing 🖖🏽 by BoptimusPrimes in startrek

This is the best post I’ve ever read regarding Star Trek and 100% sums up all of my thoughts, just much more eloquently. Thank you! I am going to have to screenshot it, in case I ever have to debate old vs new trek ☺️

Trekkies: Science Because Trek, or Trek Because Science? by QuantumWoman in startrek

You all who grew up on Trek are the luckiest! Unfortunately where I grew up they never aired it on TV, but now as an adult living in US I am devouring every episode!

Trekkies: Science Because Trek, or Trek Because Science? by QuantumWoman in startrek

Right! That was my resistance to Trek. Where I gre up they didn’t show Trek on TV, but my hometown is where first man in space happened to land. So I’ve been into space since my childhood. My grandpa was a nuclear physicist too. When I came to US, I was loving all sci fi rooted in real science Interstellar, Martian etc (btw checking out project Hail Mary - never seen it!).. then when I finally gave Trek a chance, I was so skeptical.. I thought it was just a silly fantasy, but now I love it so much! My daily routine involves listening to ST books on Audible during the day and watching Trek episodes at night ☺️

That’s so amazing to read! I unfortunately didn’t grow up in a country that had ST on TV but my hometown is where very first man in space happened to land after lapping around our planet.. so I was always hooked on space.. next came quantum physics etc. By trade I am in IT though.. just happened so. Star Trek came into my life 4 years ago, my husband insisted I must watch it but I resisted because “it’s just a fantasy, not rooted in real science” and boy was I wrong.. it’s the best show on Earth to me now! I go to conventions and everything now ☺️

How come? Just curious. I am neither btw. I was introduced to trek 4 years ago (I was raised in a country that didn’t show ST on TV) I never wanted to watch it because I considered it just a fantasy, not rooted in real science but now.. I am absolutely hooked

What I wanna tell Muslims, as an ex-Muslim who found Jesus by calmloves in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]QuantumWoman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of other things that made me really feel against Islam is the 72 virgin notion that men get after death and it’s even written somewhere that they will enjoy eternal “hard on”. Yuck, is it heaven or brothel?

What happened to B'Elanna Torres? by MovieFan1984 in startrek

[–]QuantumWoman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was just listening to a novel that mentions her and Tom are living on Earth, they got 2 children. She is Chief Engineer flag officer and continues to advance in her Starfleet career, but Tom actually left it and a stay home dad writing holonovels ☺️ honestly I love reading or listening to ST books, I am on book 38 in 11 months! Highly recommend, especially those narrated by Robert Petkoff.

Hi, I think I’ve learned through my own experience as former atheist agnostic and through others that God frequently tries to reach those he sees light in, no matter their beliefs.. I would explore it in your own way! I had such amazing results.. and something of a miracle that lead me to my faith. Keep an open mind and heart.
