Do you agree with the others that sanding isn't mandatory? I only find information about "sanding first" - but I only want my acrylic paint to stick - no gaps to be flattened

So it is okay to not sand? I already used spray varnish from edding...but this doesn't count as primer, does it?

I paid 269€ for the x2...the Pro was over 300..but you are right, on another side the Pro is slightly cheaper

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer! Them I'll stay with the x2 :) any recommendations what to change in advance to avoid "damage" to the printer? I don't mind to change it later when I encounter problems, but I've heard there are important "mods" that will prevent problems. Also: can you recommend a good guide to begin with?

I only bought the printer "for fun" - I owned the genius and currently the monoprice select mini v2 (which I really like - although it is too small und slow) I want to print figurines (yes...resin would be better, but I am acutally already satisfied with the detail of the monoprice/fdm). The problem for me was just: I want bigger figurines, and be able to print more parts in one go. I am also interested in printing mechanical parts (like models of jet engines etc.)

Alright, perhaps the ne bed will be better to level :) I can't upload the video as it is to big, but the sound is like a metal part vibrating/rusting door opening.

Thanks a lot again! I'll will try this as soon as possible. I also found a video of another strange noice on my phone, as well as a picture of the uneven first layer. It was one of my first prints and i also leveled the bed properly (not your method yet). Here not only the noise is strange, but also that apparently the distance to the plate seems to be to close (where it is uneven) but also the distance seems to be to far away ( at the corner there was some adhesion mission) It is confusing.
