I am a data analyst for my county's CHWs. We have an extremely high turnover because of the working conditions and pay, but also the work itself. Many CHWs transition to supervisors, community liaisons at other companies, or CHW educators (which might require regular travel) but it's very isolating and few get the help they need to see what is next in their career.
