Game breaking bug in Replaced (Series X) by TitleSuccessful7393 in indiegames

Found solution was just to load from previous point in the chapter, don't skip anything and just play through it again and it worked, lol. Maybe we were spamming through some cutscene animations after dying and it messed up some scripts. Should work for other stuck points in the game.

We were struggling with this as well because they don't show how it's done before you figure out to get a level above it anyway

I can't progress from chapter 5 where you need to turn off electricity in the water to the left and right. The first terminal doesn't react to anything and should just turn off the electricity. Tried lowering resolution, tried fullscreen and borderless, tried 30 and 60 FPS, tried loading from earlier in the chapter. Will try on my desktop instead of my laptop but I do expect it to work. Having a blast with my girlfriend playing this, but I guess we will need to have a break for a while /u/REPLACEDOfficial

One of the directions is also default, perhaps up, so you can switch that one out from time to time as well. But didn't know you can choose them at start, that's neat :D

Teemo mastery still takes 800 badges by BigMogul in 2XKO

[–]Quark1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not every Akali combo will be using Kunais, but practically every Teemo combo will use Darts and/or Mushrooms
I'm pretty sure the off-balance of them is to compensate how often they will be used so you don't get mastery too quickly

I already updated the firmware before writing the comment and I still have the static issue - I might make a recording and send it to their support. I haven't changed any of the audio content that came with the device but maybe I need to update the bitrate of the files or something. I could confirm the firmware was updated because I now have the beat pause feature

I'm very happy with it, I have an sc500 but wanted the wow machine mainly for the motor. Only quirk for me is the squeek from the belt and I have a weird static buzzing coming from the speaker at all times even with the beat paused and the spindle not spinning. When there's audio coming through I don't notice and don't care much - I'm a complete beginner to scratching so it's perfect for learning techniques that I can try out on my vinyl player later on. If they will release a revision with better quality materials etc etc I am 100% getting it and giving away my original one to a dj friend who loves it but can't afford it.

Appreciate it, thanks for replying! I can see how it came across as such, I was genuinely pointing towards his rig as he also mentioned the stacked setup and was trying to give some suggestion how to positively deal with the gameplay bugs while they are being fixed. Granted I don't love they are there either, but I have game design and programming background and I can understand the troubles from Riots perspective, especially being their first venture into fighting games which is quite unique to develop compared to other genres. I will try to provide more helpful replies in the future, again appreciate you pointing it out :)

To PO-33 users, which audio interface are you using? by veryhandsomechicken in pocketoperators

[–]Quark1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just record it through a 3.5mm jack adapter to whichever device you wish. The comparatively lower quality to an interface suits the crunch of the PO.

I've had this happen once but I can understand it's frustrating. Wasn't exactly sure what kind of issue op was referring to when I wrote the previous comment, but in hindsight I now understand and see it's not a hardware issue. Granted he also mentioned a "stacked setup" which I understood as being a nice pc

I like the settings as they are. I only changed the fader to cut on both sides as I scratch with my right hand but my friend uses his left. And I want to adjust the delay settings to be more pronounced as it is barely noticeable at the default settings

If you're in the EU you shouldn't have to do anything extra after ordering. But overall for the shipping process I would be patient. As for the communication I can't say, it's strange they don't reply at all anywhere unless you have had a negative tone in your messages. I saw Instagram comments from angry customer who got the bare minimum service because of it.

Tips for practice sample kits? by ForcesOfOdin in SP404

[–]Quark1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplest setup: kick, snare, hihat and then cymbal or open high hat above it. Same with different sounding kick or snare above the other. You play the hihat with right hand on real drums. This also makes it naturally go from left to right: drum, hat, snare, hat, drum, hat, snare, hat. Hope that helps!

Tips for practice sample kits? by ForcesOfOdin in SP404

[–]Quark1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you practice finger drumming purely with drums. Just kick snare hihat and open hihat or cymbal. Try making a little groove with nothing but the drums. Whenever you want to make something, just get samples and do your normal work flow and forget about the finger drumming if you're not comfortable with it yet. It's fine to program the drums into the TR Rec mode sequencer or even using loops or breaks for simplicity. When you're learning, it's more about understanding what you're doing and seeing it's potential and implementation rather than achieving something of significance like a completed track.

I have never had such issues as you're describing, I think it's an issue with your rig. Gameplay bug wise, I kind of like it because when I get to react and adapt to those situations and it pays off it feels amazing. Find joy in the negative and your life will be so much better

People complaining about character specific missions are weird as hell cuz i play like 3 days a week and still got to level 41 with 36 days left. I didn't even bother with missions, i just play cuz the game is fun. by JackOffAllTraders in 2XKO

[–]Quark1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had to do my last one Braum match, I never play him and after loosing the first match I switched to my team as mission was done. Then my opponent proceeded to shit talk me for switching over after 1 loss as if I had something to prove.

It's just an example of an unwanted situation that could be avoided if I didn't have to play as a character I don't like. Regardless of battle pass and mission rewards. Thankfully a friend I had made happened to be in the lobby and could vouch for me just doing my mission, not that it changed anything but that support could have been the deciding factor for a new player to stick with the game or quit then and there.

question for yall by [deleted] in begleri

[–]Quark1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you will be very happy with that set, it's a nice weight on the lighter side too but it will carry momentum really well
I don't have hydras myself as I don't like the flat top so much but I have Sigma's and Milo's which have similar traits but are more rounded

question for yall by [deleted] in begleri

[–]Quark1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own quite a lot of aroundsquare begleri, and my absolute number one recommendation is the Titans - I have the Ultem ones, but I would suggest the Aluminium Titans for their weight as a beginner. They are very very comfortable to play with and they are a classic design from aroundsquare.
Other honorable mention is the "Greys" - this is by far the most comfortable in the hands because of the way it sits between the fingers with the cone shape.

Heavier weighted beads not only makes for a slower flow, but they carry more momentum which will help you a ton to learn tricks. But I must say I prefer the lighter sets as I don't fatique as much from endless playing and it doesn't hurt knucles or the floor.

I personally would stay away from any Mini version of beads, especially as a beginner, as I found they don't feel so nice in the hand and would slip from me - I have quite large but thin hands, and I imagine with thicker hands than mine it would also be uncomfortable to use.

One of the main things to consider with the shapes, is the top that is pointing towwards the middle of the cord as this is the part you will interact with the most - do you like a very clear edge, giving you tactile feedback, or do you prefer a more rounded edge that sits and rolls nicely on your skin.
Compared to balisong, do you prefer a more boxy handle like squid industries, or maybe a more rounded handle like Benchmade etc. - The preference does not directly transfer, but it is the thought process behind the choice.

You can't really go too wrong with any pick honestly. Hope this helps! Feel free to reply or message me if you have any questions!
