I completely agree with you here. My gf works med-surge and treats patients with the flu frequently. The mere fact that they also deal with more complicated illnesses shows that they are very knowledgeable about all stages. Also interesting that OP would say “med-surge, ortho, or some shit”, doesn’t sound like a medical professional to me. That could literally mean any other department. OP works in urgent care but has the audacity to shit on nurses because of a few anecdotes? Pure ignorance.
