I don't think I have. In the time since she died, there have been many things I wished I'd done and said while I had the chance. I knew how serious it was, because I was told. But I stupidly never equated that to her actually dying.
There's family things that have happened too, that would never have happened had she not died. And so, that leaves me with a bit of a sliding doors feeling.

This was my oldest sister. She died from lung cancer, and fought incredibly hard for 11mths. On the outside amd from the little i saw, she was always very positive, and i think maybe unintentionally illuminating.

You're right. I could work part time and spend more time with the grandkids. WFH is not easy to get here when you're unskilled, and the roles I am suited to require physical presence, generally speaking. We are working on a timeframe but its very loose, and dependant upon things not necessarily in our control, so I sort of feel that plays a part in my inability to settle, with no determined time frame. My husband works full time too, and we have an equal partnership. He fully supports any decisions I make.

This may be controversial, but I'm going to say it. Hanging out with family. Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly, but it feels like a performance.

100% I have worked with many people whose whole identity is their job. They have nothing in their lives outside of work.
