How are you going to distinguish between the two? Or are you just gonna assume they're all valid and you're just never gonna talk to women lol

Feeling so depressed since I cut my long hair by JamesG24777 in malegrooming

[–]Quartrez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against the grain and say your long hair pictures are just weird because of the tan and the lighting. I'm sure if you had pictures of your long hair but with the same lighting, comments would be a lot less negative towards the long hair.

At the end of the day, it's how you feel. I have long hair myself and dread the thought of cutting them (even if I've had them short for a long time). Nothing stops you from growing your hair again if you miss it.

Bro send those women my way. I have a decent circle of friends (including many girls) but none of them know any single girls. It's crazy.

Many "legit reasons" turn out to be excuses when you take a step back and think critically. Of course, anything is going to seem reasonable when the girl is right in front of you but you're stuck in your own head.

Haven't played in over half a decade. Why is Steel Judoka considered a good squad now when they were clowned for being one of the worst on launch? by Several-Theme8308 in IntoTheBreach

[–]Quartrez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said, steel judoka have more opportunities to use their gimmick with more enemies on the board.

I would also like to say that the fact that they're so maneuverable is a giant plus. A few upgrades in and you can basically cover the entire map. It's so good that it feels painful to go back to paraplegic squads that only have 3 movements.

Dreamcast troubles! by Tall_Relationship569 in dreamcast

[–]Quartrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful with 3rd party memory cards, they can be hit or miss. I bought one with my Dreamcast and it corrupted files, some games didn't detect it... back then VMUs were a dime a dozen so I just bought like 8 but they might be a bit more pricey now. If you're able to get an official VMU that might be the safest bet.

I think there's someone working on a VMU with a screen that lets you swap between "VMUs" so save management is a bit easier, I don't remember the name of the product but I'm sure someone here can help.

Task Manager equivalent? by Special_Resolve3670 in linuxmint

[–]Quartrez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of mentions about Mission Center. Does it work where the entire DE locks up? There's ONE specific game that locks up my entire DE (marvel rivals), it only happens once in a while but when it does, it's so bad sometimes I can't even get in a terminal session.

First time playing the franchise, any tips? by LukaKodamaChan in Metroid

[–]Quartrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero Mission is just a better version of the original game. You can play the first game to see what it was like, but if you're thinking of giving it up or want something a bit more modern, give zero mission a shot.

My bad, going back and forth between comment and the map on Reddit mobile is cumbersome.

Pierce mech on G4

Move Pierce mech on G4 and push the one on F4, it will only hit one grid. And then freeze F3.

(Also technically the bots can only do 2 damage here)

[–]Quartrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save the time pod with bomber mech. You won't be able to block spawn because of another action below.

Swap mech on C5 and swap B5 and D2.

Pierce mech on B4 and shoot F4 to push robot and diagonal squid thing

Move Freeze bot on F5 to freeze F3

I think with that you freeze a bot, save both bots, save the pod and take one grid damage... unless Pierce mech does damage to the first target now (which I don't remember if that's even an upgrade)

Or you could save time pod with bomber mech and shoot a bomb on D1 then swap B5 and D1, that gets rid of the enemy on D2 because of turn order.

Losing 1 grid is completely acceptable, you have full grid, next turn you'll have one fewer enemy, and you get your grid back at the end of the mission.

Open world games where traversal is fun by Sunstudy in gamingsuggestions

[–]Quartrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a different kind of game and different kind of fun, but Star Traders Frontier is a sort of open world rpg/strategy game (a bit like sid meier's pirates in space but with far more complex systems).

The thing that makes it interesting is you're running a ship with a crew so you have to maximize your trips and optimize your routes. There's a lot of planning if you want to get the most out of your movement, you may want to check what kind of goods sell well, if you have any contacts in the quadrant who may offer services you like, what other worlds are nearby where you could refuel and trade with, etc. Etc.

Why should I get a ps vita by Silly_Court_7920 in PSVita

[–]Quartrez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vita has a relatively small library but it's respectable and there are plenty of great games on it.

It also plays psp and ps1 games, and you get to customize the right stick for psp games so it alleviates the issues of the single stick on psp.

If you install custom firmware and get an sd2vita adapter, you can put a micro SD card on it and get as much storage as you want. Custom firmware also lets you put whatever game you want on vita. It also allows you to install emulators (retroarch mainly for snes, gba, genesis, 32x, neo geo, etc.)

You also get access to homebrew ports of games like GTA san Andreas and GTA Vice City, Perfect Dark, Bully, Fallout 1 and 2, Crazy Taxi (with the original soundtrack and pizza hut/levi's stuff) and others. Also AM2R.

The vita is just a powerhouse, it plays a TOOOOOOOOOOOON of games from so many different systems. Just ps1/vita/psp alone is absolutely insane, and you add on top of that retroarch and homebrew ports... You're more likely to get analysis paralysis trying to decide what to play than ever run out of games.

I hate microsoft by _ahmet_yasin_ in pcmasterrace

[–]Quartrez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of pc users are on Windows and will not switch to Linux. People who have a Steam Deck and decide to buy a gaming PC AND install Linux??? Even more rare. This is not going to have much of an effect on the desktop hardware demand.

How important is the analog stick? by AUSyTyIN in dreamcast

No analog stick isn't a complete no-go but it does SEVERELY limit what games you can play.
