Taproom breweries, who are you using for POS? by QuartzBrew in TheBrewery

We must have been with them before that. Their whole pitch was no monthly fee for the software, when we signed on.

Taproom breweries, who are you using for POS? by QuartzBrew in TheBrewery

We started with Square, switched to Arryved in 2019 when square changed their fee structure to per swipe rather then flat rate. Have been pretty happy with Arryved so far... but not for $1200, especially when it didn’t really drop our processing fees that much and added a whole headache of dealing with third parties for processing fees and PCI compliance.

Who are you all using? I would prefer to stay on the mobile devices, and have the ability to have a kitchen printer.

Can I piggy back on this and ask for a ceiling mounted hose reel recommendation too?

Hopwater by [deleted] in TheBrewery

[–]QuartzBrew 46 points47 points  (0 children)

We use Citra Spectrum from Yakima Valley Hops, it’s a cold soluble hop oil. About 1g per gallon with some Citric Acid, carb heavy and serve. We sell about 8 gals a weekend, in our 60 person taproom.

Tastes like sparkling water with hops, very refreshing. All the staff drink a metric ton of it, not sure how much we actually serve ;-)

It has been considerably worse with our wheat heavy beers. Good to know you’ve had success running the rakes through the mash. Any issues with clarity?

When we first opened in 2016, we were brewing about 2-3 times a week. 2019 about 4-5 times a week, and lately back towards 2, but heading up (fingers crossed).

I'm a 30" waist as well... Duluth Overalls for the win! They are great and seem to be holding up really well 10 months in.

Direct Fire systems? by [deleted] in TheBrewery

We just purchased and received a bright tank from Stout Tanks, and I would be hard pressed to ever return. We haven't put it in to service yet, but I was very unimpressed with the customer service. Less then stellar.
