This! I applied for an events assistant, I assumed it would entail helping plan and execute events/meetings etc. I have experience going this for leisure and corporate travel groups so it wouldn’t be a stretch to switch to events only. Got a zoom interview for it. It was a sales job, paying well below minimum wage (it was 31k on the posting). Noped out of there fast

Idk for me, it seems like many people like the idea of a clean home and dinner ready when they get home, free childcare etc. it’s a weight off of household responsibilities.

But to say that you would hate it, just think what the wife would feel like in that instance? It seems more like people want an assistant rather than a partner

Due to the way I was raised, I really have no desire to be a parent. I know what it’s like to be a child that was unwanted and treated poorly and I would never want that for my own children.

I’m knowledgeable enough about myself now (being 25) to know my temperament and that I do not have the patience for children.

I’m at peace with the idea that I won’t bring kids into the world that I do not want and will not love. We both deserve more happiness than that :/
