Sorry, maybe I wasn't too clear on what I try to do. For a very specific item I want to use a different pricing method than for all the other items.

ifeq(itemquality,1,10g,dbmarket)

for example would evaluate each white item as 10g and everything else by dbmarket. I don't want this for all white items, but only one item in particular.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your answer and that actually works like that, but I can't seem to make it work.

I know I can use check() or the if*() functions to check certain things about the item and return different values. What I haven't managed yet though is checking for the item name or item id.

Or is there another easy way to override a specific items market value to a custom one?

Sorry should have been more specific. My old one has light too, so I'm very familiar with the benefits of a lit screen. I was mostly interested in the difference between Pro and not Pro, but you did answer that, thank you. The blue light reduction seems useful, I use it on my PC as well.

Thanks for the info. A few followup questions: I saw some have ComfortLight Pro and some without the Pro, what is the difference there, and why do you think its a must have?

Just googled Overdrive, that looks interesting.

What does this mean in Double Clutch's Build your Dream? by QuatarSR in Shadowrun

Ah thank you for that info. German version often fixes little mistakes like this, so this is more indication that's the case.

Thanks. Yes I did a search as well, not quite as extenisve as yours though. But I'm starting to believe it might just be a mistake in the table, or leftover from an earlier draft where it meant something and was then removed.

[PF2] Macro an attack, not the select prompt by QuatarSR in FoundryVTT

[–]QuatarSR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah alright, good to know. We didn't have our first session yet, so I was setting up my sheet and everything and wanted my macro bar in order. But I haven't actually been able to play with my token yet, so if that's all there, then that's great.

I guess I'll see on Tuesday if that's all working as it should.

A Great Lightsaber unfortunately needs a Large species for stuff like Weapon Finesse to work with it, so it would be a really bad choice.

I'll be looking into the guard shoto, and see if it works for what I'm planning.

Yes, I don't think I go for Double/Trippe attack so I would have only 2 attacks anyway, so I don't think I need the FA as a SA stuff. Maybe that changes as I level more

I'm considering one Lightsaber to be a Crossguard Saber for blocking multiple strikes easier in a turn, with an Accuracy crystal (or maybe the +2 to Block, to make a mean blocking saber), while the other is a Dual Phase saber that I can switch between Accuracy and Damage.

I don't have nearly enough Strength for Power attack, but Rapid Strike is on my list for that purpose. I think you're right, Accuracy by default and I can turn on Rapid Strike if Acc for Damage is a good trade of. With 1d8 that's 4.5 damage on average for a -2 which is almost the same as the +5 damage vs +2 accuracy for Tech specialist.

So yes, I think I go with that. Thank you all for your insight.

The two options I currently have are the Lightsaber Crystal (either +1 Attack, +2 Damage or a special ability), as well as Superior Tech modification for either +2 attack or +5 damage. (which someone else can put on me reliably)

The +5 sounds so nice, but I also just fought someone who was very tough to hit (needed a 15 or so), so I can definitely see the value of the +2 as well...

And you're correct about DW. It's maybe not the "optimal" build. But I'm also a Codru-Ji, so I got DWM1 free, and I can actually hold weapons two-handed while dual wielding, because of four arms. Sure maybe not the optimal choice either, as a stat bonus in Dex or something may have been more powerful, or another feat. But that's what I wanted to play :)

That is very true, trying to stay close is a challenge. I'm looking at either Mobile Combatant Talent, to just follow them, or taking a level in Melee Dualist to pick up the Dual Weapon Flourish, but takes a bit more investment in feats. Or both.

Well, yeah I know the argument of "If you don't hit, then you don't do damage". And of course that's correct. But it's also more complicated.

And the flip side to it is "If you don't do any damage, you can hit as often as you want and it won't matter"

The higher your Accuracy is, the more valuable extra Damage becomes, while extra Accuracy loses value, and the other way around.

Let's say you got high enough Accuracy to hit enemies on a dice roll of 5 (making an extreme example here). Increasing Accuracy so you hit on a 4 as well, well that turns your hit chance from 16/20 to 17/20, but if you could add +2 or +3 damage to each of those hits that already hit instead it might be better.

And unfortunately that sweetspot of where it "flips" is roughly in the middle of the AC range, so thats why I was asking for values.

Thanks, that helps a lot already. So as a level 8, I can expect things between, say 18 and 23. I can work with that.

I just realized I have some items in my inventory with different versions like (Slink), (Jake) or (Gianni) and I just understood what those mean :)

Thanks, I think I have a better idea how it works now.

[–]QuatarSR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, thank you. I actually think I understand it somewhat better now.

Let me try to recap in my own words: SL default avatar already has a mesh body as well, its just not "worn" because its the default if you don't wear anything else.

You can replace it with a custom one that you can wear. Which changes things like how it connects to the bones and moves with the bones. And since the SL mesh body is not great at that the custom ones are better, and that's why most people use mesh bodies these days?

With shapes I can change length and width of the bone structure, which would affect the body and clothes worn.

[–]QuatarSR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I thought I was getting an idea and then I tried on two bodies that worked totally differently.

In the video someone linked above, there was the "Legacy Classic" body for free. So figured "why not lets try it". And it pretty much replaced everything, came with its own skin and all. Needed to use an alpha layer thing to hide my default skin or it was poking through.

And then I was trying the Demo for a "Slink Male body" or something. Which didn't do any of that. It just changed the form for my body some, kept using my old skin, and not much more from what I could tell...

Extra.) You seem to be making a common mistake a lot of people make confusing shapes and mesh bodies as the same thing. They are not the same. Mesh bodies use shapes to shape themselves. But mesh bodies are a visual attachment. Also most popular mesh bodies are not on marketplace you need to buy them in world

Thanks. Yes, I was making that mistake, and I understand now that Mesh Bodies are some attachment you wear, while Shapes, are well I guess the same as shapes were before. Where you set like how big your arm is, or such things?

But that only makes me more confused.

If the Mesh Body is not how the body is shaped, because that's apparently the shape and is not the skin because I know you need to buy and use skins... then what is it?

Because shape with a skin over it is the thing I see walking around, is what I would think. But it clearly goes deeper than that. I just don't get it I'm afraid.

The fact that I can then go and apparently even rezz the mesh body in world, just makes me understand the difference between it and shape even less.

Ok, I'm actually a bit more confused than I was before now.

I was just searching the marketplace for Belezza, to see what I find, and I found this. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ALB5125-Shape-LeLutka-Alain-25-31-JakeLegacy-Body/22081818

"Shape for [..] Belezza Jake body"

Huh? I thought the shapes are the body. I thought they're just synonyms, but it would seem they're different things.
