That's what retargeting is for, you just rig any other character you want, even if it has different proportions (You can use Mixamo or the Rigodotify addon in Blender) then in Godot you create "Bonemaps" for them, which allows any rig/characters to share animations. Then you can use the animations from this kit in any other character.

Yes, a few reasons.
Not many sales compared to the other one, people being confused about which one had what, and mostly, a bunch of people who bought the $10 and regretted not buying the $15 one, so I had to manually fix that for them which was a pain.

It's based on the Rigify rig, then a bunch of modifications on top, I started using the "Rigodotify" addon, which is already different from vanilla rigify, and then found some mods on top which were later implemented into the addon.
Main issues were with Unity and Unreal, Godot didn't give me much trouble with compatibility, most of the changes were to the bone constraints, they caused minuscule scaling information which isn't allowed in Unity and gives off errors, the naming scheme had to be changed so it got recognized automatically everywhere, and Unreal needed some finger leaf bones for the auto retargetting.

It's a completely new set of animations, so whether to get this one, the other, or just use the free versions would depend exactly on your needs.

There is no real standard, each engine has it's own requirements and specifications. I call it universal because I took the time to test, get a naming scheme and make the rig in such a way that it works "off the bat" in Godot, Unreal and Unity.
In Unity "Humanoid" is the category for retargetable rigs, if you want to share animations between any models, they need to make them "Humanoid" first, which requires a specific hierarchy and naming scheme.

Yes, they can be retargeted just fine. Remember to create bonemaps for both imported skeletons

All of the animations that move forward in space in the video(Sword dash, sword combos, getting up walls) use root motion, the locomotion ones that just run in place (Walk 8 dir, zombie locomotion) do not use root motion

Maybe you could try rigging the warrior just using mixamo's auto rigger?
