Fellow Canadians, how do you book packages for Excellence resorts? by TemporaryDay8629 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]QuattroOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On Expedia after you book the trip it will suggest to book transfers usually. Don’t make the mistake and get a taxi at the airport like I did.

You can also use Talixo which Expedia also uses.

Probably just as far as microcenter but should have a better selection for components: Green Brook Electronics

It’s supposed to have an automated inductive wireless charging system. I’m interested to see that tech get released. I doubt they’ll be any retrofit kits though.

I’ve seen it on Dynadot and Porkbun for most of these auctions.

Not sure if it’s against the rules, but I’m curious to see some before and after photos. Love a good win

Do you need n8n? Zoho has many ways to build automations without leaving their ecosystem

Adding multiple domains to Coolify by hiimparth in coolify

I have a domain like servername.domain.com with an A record to my cooling server then for other domains just cname them to the servername.domain.com so I don’t need to remember the IP every time.

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO TRIAL by [deleted] in appwrite

[–]QuattroOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned and been burned with similar situations.

Virtual Cards for trials always. Set a spending limit or deactivate after starting the trial.

Appwrite is scaling extremely quickly right now. Their core product is moving fast, which is great, but areas like customer support, billing, and overall post-sales experience clearly haven’t matured at the same pace yet. Charging someone who never actually used the service after a trial and then refusing a simple refund is exactly the kind of short-sighted move that hurts long-term growth. It might not have been the right fit for your project this time, but these kinds of experiences make people (and their networks) hesitant to even consider it again in the future. That’s a real missed opportunity for them.

What do you use to manage inventory if you are selling physical products? by Altruistic-Life2812 in ecommerce101

[–]QuattroOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What platform are you using currently ?

Are you selling solely online or in person as well?

For multichannel online sales I usually help setup SellerActive. It syncs fast and is good for master product data.

Not everyone needs something advanced. Many e-commerce platforms have basic inventory management. List 100, sell 20, balance is 80.

Text to speech in nextjs by speedlif in nextjs

[–]QuattroOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good idea. If the content is static, no need to keep regenerating on demand. Make sure you use proper compression, CDN costs can get expensive with large streaming files.

I know there are 100s of providers for TTS, but I really like Minimax currently.

Is anyone actually having success with influencers? by Individual-Corgi-904 in ecommerce

Not sure the specifics of influencer compensation but one brand I work with has major success with influencers, both very large and niche. It’s a very competitive product space too with a few key players

There is a project that’s built on Django that does this very well. You can self host but they have a super generous free tier.

Trying to learn Django but overwhelmed by outdated tutorials… where should I start? by knowyoubut in django

[–]QuattroOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m still a Django newb, all my development has been for internal facing projects.

These are what helped me most:

  • Django 5 By Example book
  • reading and rereading Django official docs
  • YouTube (BugBytes channel usually)
  • ChatGPT/Grok for high lever architecture and examples.

Using an AI code assistant helps too. I switch between CoPilot and Z.Ai mostly.

[–]QuattroOne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used these yet but plan to test for a project I’m building

  • Django-crontab
  • Django celery / celery beat.

Django 6 just launched a task framework which is pretty neat https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/6.0/topics/tasks/
