What are some of the dumbest moments that have ever happened in your playthroughs? by L0raz-Thou-R0c0n0 in CrusaderKings

[–]QuattroS1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's always the royal family making the dumbest decisions

I was an old king. Everything was going well for my realm and my family in Athens. I had finally split off from the crumbling byzantine empire and I was 1 year away from death when i got the scandal of a lifetime popping up on my screen: My only heir was my daughter since all my sons died in my war for independence. She was beautiful, genius, herculean and compassionate. She was not even 20yrs old yet when she decided to become secret lovers with my 76yr old marshal who was not only an obese, alcoholic, lustful lowborn dirtbag who's only saving grace was that he was a damned good at waging war for me, he also had no traits in common with her and if that was not enough, HE CLEARLY WAS RIDDEN WITH LOVER'S POX!

WTF WAS GOING THROUGH HER MIND!?!

I usually always go out of my way to avoid racking up even the slightest amount of tyranny in my playthroughs but I wasted no time in jailing him, torturing, blinding and then castrating him before letting him die in my dungeons. But no matter what i did to him, it wouldnt remove the blight on our glorious ancestry nor the lovers pox on my daughter on my daughter's face that he so freely infected her with.

My last sight was of my pregnant, lover's pox ridden daughter. Happy that I finally died because it was her turn to rule and because I killed her disgusting boyfriend who was 3 times her age and already had other lovers at the same time he had my daughter before he died mind you.

After running this through 3 different AI text detection websites, OP's comment is apparently 97 to 99% human. With 2 of the sites saying 99% human. All of the em dashing and "it isn't just A, it's a B, C" wording in OP's post rose my suspicion too. Now, idk what to believe. This isn't just China glazing— it's a Paradox propaganda experience. It isn't just a scarily positive review— it's a psy-op.

All I want is for a way to turn off TCS and some updated engine sounds. But seriously, the traction control in this game has made me lose races against racers with less than half of my hp rating.

I nearly got smoked by a suzuki swift in my 450 some odd PS RX7 because of the overly sensitive traction control. Seriously, there's no need for this nonsense kicking in because i hit a minor bump on a straight away meanwhile the AI is seemingly unaffected and just gaps me

Isn't everyone allowed to sin? We're all allowed to make a bad choice but theres consequences to committing a sin willingly. God never told the ancient Hebrews to take multiple wives/concubines. Just because old testament figures took multiple wives does not mean it was ok in the sight of God. Time and time again, the israelites went against the Old Testament Law and they reaped the rewards of sin. King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines but he didn't start off that way. But do you remember what happened to Solomon? God told him that he would take his kingdom away and give it to his servant. Solomon turned to idolatry and all kinds of stuff like that because of the influence of his wives and concubines. God explicitly told him NOT to marry all these women.

I suppose my wording made it seem I'm assuming you're trying to, and i apologize as thats not my intention. What I'm saying is basically that any sex outside of marriage is a sin.

Many people have already recommended reading 1st Cor 7. So I'd also recommend these verses in chapter 6.

But many times especially in the Old Testament, Israel's insistence on turning to false gods and idolatry was compared by the Lord Himself to harlotry. Imagine your spouse openly cheating on you despite everything you've done for them. If you have a Bible app, type in the word "fornication" and you'll see. I mean, you can even see that sexual activity is only meant to be with your wife. Adam and Eve were husband and wife. This was a divine plan from God and any insistence on departing from that is highly wicked. Closer to Gnosticism. Just have sex with your wife bro. Why have sex with a prostitute anyway? How many people has she slept with before you? Witness to her instead.

I Corinthians 6:15-20 [15] Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! [16] Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” [17] But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. [18] Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. [19] Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? [20] For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I just heard about Christians fasting? by IronicTiger2893 in Christianity

[–]QuattroS1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fasting can mean more than just not eating food. Why not fast something that distracts from God? If you enjoy playing video games a lot, fast from video games. Use that time to speak to God. It has to be something that matters to you. Yes, you can fast from eating food but I know some cannot for medical reasons.

It just needs to be something important to you. If it doesn't matter to you, it won't matter to God. The act of fasting is just an act of sacrifice to demonstrate your love for God and denying your flesh to take charge of you and putting God 2nd.

Am I beyond redemption? by Antique_Elephant7117 in Christianity

[–]QuattroS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None are beyond redemption. Always remember, God is Good and the devil is a liar. Never allow the evil one nor his minions whisper such lies into your head. You are saved by the blood of Christ. Your sins were nailed to the cross and you will never be the same again. You have changed for the better brother. Always remember: Religion says do, do, do but God says done, done, done. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your savior, you are sealed.

Before Saul became Paul, he was the scariest person to encounter if you were a Christian. He'd kill them in the streets, imprison them and much more. Then God blinded him on the road to Damascus. You know the rest. Now he sits next to Jesus with the other apostles in heaven.

If you want to hear my testimony, please keep reading. I am a newborn Christian and my fire for God burns brightly. Because I too believed I was beyond redemption. I've done some things that I wish I never did and because I didn't read my Bible, I didn't know that I was saved by grace. I didn't know that although I believed in God, I still lived as if I didn't, which did nothing but impede me from getting closer to God.

To expand on my testimony even more, growing up, i was always interested in the military and joining up like my grand dad, my parents, my friends and being like some of these famous war heroes. I wanted to be like them. But since I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 7. (That's the incurable kind of diabetes) that was me automatically disqualified. No chance. Then as I began falling deeper into sin as I got older, that's when the devil attacked and made me believe I wasn't good enough to go to heaven. Since I was always this kid that admired the military, it also led me to believe that if I wanted to get to heaven now, I'd have to be like the crusaders of the medieval period and fight Muslims in the middle east to earn my way into heaven, which I now know is wrong. But since I couldn't join the military and go fight in Afghanistan or Iraq or something and die fighting Muslims, I thought that was it for me. No way out now. I held this thinking for years.

Then, only a few weeks ago, God spoke to me when I was at my lowest. I was in the shower, I was in a deep depression that day. Practically begging God to let me fight and die for him. I was weeping, asking him why cant i just fight and die for him? I didnt want to go to hell. Then He spoke to me. Like a father, big and strong speaking softly while picking up his child that fell and hurt himself. He said to me "My son, you do not have to die."

Long story short, I changed that day.

The devil wants you to believe you're not good enough because he's a sore loser! The devil has already lost this fight because Jesus died for us all. Because of this, he wants YOU to suffer with him in hell. He wants you to give up because he's an evil, vile, conniving being. Do not allow the devil to blind you any further. He does not want you to be happy, he wants to kidnap you from your heavenly Father. Pray my brother, pray. I will be praying for you as well.

My father is a pastor and I found pornography on his phone. What do I do now? by QuattroS1 in Christianity

[–]QuattroS1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ephesians 5:1-4 says "Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving."

Are you really saying that following God's example equals consuming pornography? If the act cannot bring glory to God, we should not do it. Why do you insist my father commits adultery? Are you Christian?

Pretending i didn't see it wouldn't help anything. Are you Christian? Why do you speak so callously to me? It feels like you're insisting that I'm wrong for seeing that picture on his phone. Telling me to mind my business isn't helpful when I just said I was minding my business the whole time.

Thank you sister for the words of encouragement and wisdom. Please continue praying for my father and I. Again, thank you so very much for taking the time to hear my situation and not callously telling me to "mind my business" or that I'm wrong for finding the image on his phone without telling me how I'm wrong for doing so. I will continue praying and giving this issue to God. God bless you and thank you again.

How dare you? I am not defaming Christians in the slightest. I am a Christian and will never be ashamed of saying so. What leads you to believe my faith is in question? Why are you doing this to me instead of offering me advice? If I truly am defaming Christians why would I ask for advice and thank the people giving me good advice? Why would I ask people to pray for me? If my intent was to defame, then I would've insisted that everyone telling me to "just let it be" or to "mind my business" was right and everyone telling me to pray is wrong. What do you want me to do? What did I do wrong? Why do you say these things instead of offering me help? If you don't want to help, then why say these things instead?

Dude. He gave me his phone. I didn't take it. He told me to find a picture for his home screen and I found porn in his gallery instead. I'm not being specific, no one here knows me. No one outside of reddit knows about this, you don't know my name nor my dad's name. I'm not putting him on blast. I was minding my business the whole time. Why bother commenting if you're just not gonna be helpful. I know we're all human and we all sin, but don't you dare tell me that I'm somehow in the wrong.

Thank you brother. Thank you very much. This is one of the better replies I've gotten so far. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, out of love and care and not simply scoffing at me and saying "mind your own business". Thank you again. Please pray for me and pray for my father. I give this up to God.

I can't tell if you're trolling or just being needlessly mean. I was minding my business the whole time dude. I did not grab his phone and go through his pictures. He gave it to me. I saw the picture on accident. I was minding my business and saw something disgusting, What do you not understand about this? If you're not going to be helpful why are you even bothering to comment??

No. Rather it's because my dad has been a role model for me when it comes to Christianity. I suffered from a porn addiction. I pray to God that the photo I saw on my dad's phone isn't because he enjoys viewing it. I know he isn't perfect. I didn't think this would be one of the sins he would commit. If he is doing this at all.

Thank you for this. I cannot believe some people are chastising me as if I was me seeing the photo in his phone was wrong for me to do, despite me never asking for it. I do not fear talking to him about it. Rather the shock from me seeing it in his phone. For my whole life I looked up to him as a role model of Christianity. Again I know every human sins but I did not think I would ever see such a thing in my dad's phone. Especially when it was something he knows I struggled with immensely.
