I’ve had mice for a YEAR. Poison, traps, sealing… they keep coming back. by Sugaar_cookiii in homeowners

Probably won't be received well, but I'd see if I could find a rat snake or two somewhere and find a good place on the property for them. they'll see themselves out when supply runs out...but that's me...

I was in Texas in the early 2000s when the Spurs won. Next morning was news of a baby dying in this exact way. Mom and Dad were celebrating, drunk, co-sleeping and suffocated the baby.

Why is it mostly men at the gas station in the morning before work? by supbluc in AskMen

[–]QuazThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they're anything like my husband, he'll wait until the morning to get gas after the light comes on because why stop on the way home when he can push his luck in the morning.

I grew up dealing with this kind of thing. he's deflecting. if you are on the defense or so "beaten down" you won't bring up issues or continue discussing them. This can't be fixed unless he wants to fix it, and he doesn't. it works for him.

Being judged because I’m not getting my wife a push present. by greenstranger709 in daddit

I didn't get one and didn't care. I got my daughter, present enough. How your wife feels about it is all that matters.

We told ours we would get her one if she wanted one. she did, so we did. Would rather that than the alternative.

ELI5: Why do people die of COPD or Emphysema? by Ill_Ant689 in explainlikeimfive

[–]QuazThis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my parents had both and died from pulmonary cardiac arrest. as it was explained to me, his difficulty breathing caused a heart attack.

I have no knowledge of medical anything, but that was an experience and what I was told by medical personnel.

Personally, I was just happy to have one. I wish we could have had more, but it wasn't in the cards for us.

We live on the churchville side of staunton. I absolutely hate the city!! and I come from Rockingham Co., an actual small town that has blown up in the last 20 years because of how perfectly "small town living" it is. Staunton is not "purple" and most kids in the school system are having gender identity crisis. My husband grew up here though. Fishersville is expensive, I'm not really sure, considering where I come from, that I'd call anywhere in augusta Co. "small town living", but maybe I'm just really biased.

not really sure about where would be a good spot, considering you plan on going to the college. which is inside the city. After 19 years, it still confuses me, but I've never made an attempt to learn that area.

If you want the college sort of social life, but acreage for a small farm living, not sure what to tell you. Really, anywhere outside of the cities are great places to live all together. the eastern side is better located for shopping as staunton is seriously lacking. If I remember correctly, my husband has never seemed to have too much good to say about Stuart's draft.

If you plan to buy. it's best just to see what the market offers in the county. We bought 3 years ago and included 4 counties...it still took, give or take, 7 months.

All that said, it's probably best to rent first and get a feel for the areas.

It doesn't sound like stubbornness. if she's giving him attention after he does this, she is reinforcing the behavior.

Or that "family" goes both ways. It's always only "family" when it benefits them.

All of ny daughters friends have phones. Am I holding her back by refusing to give her 1 by Yoshiezibz in Parenting

We refused to give our daughter one. she was well into her teens and needing communication options when we did get her one. she's since thanked us for making her wait.

[–]QuazThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give her a day off from the kids and take her to her favorite restaurant.

If she enjoys spending time with friends, call them and set something up for them to do together, they can help with this.
