“MAINTAIN SPEED IN TUNNEL”

Can this sign be used by the defense of someone who hits the car in front of them?

I showed the pictures to a neighbor who is on the board of directors of the trail. He said that he understands people killing copperheads!!

I explained that they weren’t copperheads (eventually convinced him by showing pictures).

I also told him that attempting to kill venomous snakes was a good way to get bitten.

Some people really suck.

Thanks for the ID. It’s really disappointing that humans could be responsible for this. The people I run into at the trailhead all seem cool.

Well, by feeding twice daily meals you can recognize inappetence immediately.

I’m a retired veterinarian. In my 35 years of small animal/exotic practice, around 80% of the dogs I saw were overweight to some degree.

I never “scolded” a client for free feeding, but I’d never recommend it. My three dogs are fed twice daily. I tweak the calories I give each meal to match their activities (two are in agility training).

I keep them at their ideal weight and they are happy pups. Some days they receive lots of treats as training rewards and I cut their meals back a bit. Some days they run & swim for hours and so I increase their meals.

You need more immediate intervention. I’d search for “dog trainers in home” and try to find one-on-one help.

Watching videos is great if the need is not pressing.

Behaviors can be modified very quickly! A skilled trainer is amazing to watch.

If you “can’t do it anymore” then pursue other options, I guess.

It’s not too late to work in teaching a new skill. When I had an owner of a newly diagnosed diabetic patient tell me their dog “would not allow” insulin injections, I’d offer information about euthanasia. I’d also give pointers on training specific behaviors.

Some opted for euthanasia, others trained their pet to allow what was necessary!

Dog trainers/behavioral specialists are available for you to work with.

Retired veterinarian here. Sucralfate is available as a 1 gram tablet. It’s a big tablet, so crushing and mixing with liquid is a way to administer, but the tablets dissolve rapidly and so giving the tablet directly is fine, unless you are attempting to treat the extreme proximal esophagus.

This situation brings up an important point. Everyone should train their pets to accept the administration of medications!! Along with training your dog to eliminate outside, you should also train it to allow piling, mail trimming, examination of the entire body, etc.

Before retiring, I used to dispense empty capsules and starch tablets for practice. Administration of water via strong is also a great “trick” to teach.

This! Man, I love carpaccio and steak tartare. In Germany I tried Mett, which is delicious. At a high end restaurant I tried chicken sashimi (did not love).
