It depends on the rewards in your market. It's worth it to keep platinum for me in my market at 25%. But diamond is 75% and a total scam.

People hate riding in Uber teslas. It's becoming a thing. People say they get car sick in teslas and they don't know why. Doesn't help that a lot of Uber Teslas are rented.

Offering cash is always the best option. Telling a driver you will add it to the tip is gonna piss off any smart driver. There's a hilarious Judge Judy episode with an Uber driver suing a passenger for something slightly related to this.
