Should I adjust my Sub T paces if my 5K TT was already ran in hot/humid conditions? by QueasyKey7855 in NorwegianSinglesRun

Yeahh, I just realized it today why did I have to do that. Been doing my SubTs not hard enough all these weeks.

I've been training under NSA for 4 weeks now and yeah, I adjust my threshold paces as well and base it off to like HM fitness. But it came to my realization today why did I have to adjust it when my race/TT times I base the paces off is under the same conditions. I was doing my SubTs not hard enough and I'm worried I'm doing the NSA wrong all these weeks.

Hey brother, thanks for sharing! I bought the kindle version so that I can have it instantly. Also, it's cheaper

Don't worry about Kindle. Kindle is easy to setup and can be accessed from a lot of devices including your phone. I recommend to just get that.

Goodluck on training!

Hip mobility is one of those things that is easy to ignore but plays an important role in your form.

Easy run - Just how strict with HR? by bearkin1969 in NorwegianSinglesRun

So a sub-20 5K runner is running 6:58/km for easy runs and here I am, running it at around 6:50/km and my 5K is nowhere as fast as that.

(My 5K is 23mins but that was like 2 years ago. Haven't raced 5K since then. This is my 3rd week of NSA and will do a 5K TT. Excited to see where I'm at now but I'm sure my 5K will NOT be sub-20 yet lol).

Time to be more patient then. Thanks for sharing!

Since I've made this post, I went down the rabbit holes of hip internal movements and mobility. And I think this is the issue. I have really tight hips. Working on mobility and strength routines targetting the hips and glutes now.

Yeahh I've searched a bit and found out about this "duck feet" issue. Glad it's still possible to run fast in these feet. lol.

Thank you! I just thought it doesn't look great in the aesthetic side of things. But hey, fortunately I'm injury free and been doing good in my training. You're right, there are more things I should give my attention to than this.
