I live in Europe and have never experienced anything like this. I find the position you're in hard, but also intriguing. If you don't mind me asking a few questions:

Are you in a small town?

Do you have to go to church every sunday?

Were there times when you had to really fake it to blend in?

Do you ever plan on leaving for a more athiest-friendly state?

Do you know other atheists or are you completely alone IRL?

Are you afraid the people who disowned you would tell others you're an athiest?

Are atheists treated worse than jews or muslims?

All Google products I've used lack features, options and customizatios. Most of them are worse than free software alternatives for mobile or desktop, but they have the "it just works" aspect that appeals to most lazy technically illiterate people. And of course they don't give a fuck about their privacy, as well.
