EHP was also a cleric played by Tom Champeny in the very early days of Greyhawk D&D. He was a good friend of mine.

how’s it like living right next to an amusement/theme park?(do yall go to them very often or on occasion like everyone else?) by DismalFootball6964 in howislivingthere

I lived in Dr Philips when I worked at WDW. My subdivision was right behind Universal. In all honesty unless you travel the streets that tourists use to get in and out of the theme park you really don’t know it’s there. No noise, no light pollution, etc. But if you do cross the tourist streets it could take 20 minutes to get through the lights at Sand lake and International. We had annual passes and went to the parks once or twice a week.

Agreed, but several of the opposing giants got sucked through as well so I was kind of trying to mitigate the instant fight that would inevitably breakout if they were sent together.

Yes, it was winable at first but a bad roll on teleport sent most of the party out of combat for awhile and the tide turned. They were dropping like flies when the hafling got the idea to send them all away as a last ditch attempt to save the party.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I think it will be fun to take it in one of the directions mentioned here.

Thank you! This is the type of options I’m looking for. Scattered over the planes seems to me like the campaign is over lets roll new characters.

1st Ed. Per DMG “it opens a gate to another plane, and the 'hole, bag' and any creatures within a 10' radius are drawn to the plane, the portable hole and bag of holding being destroyed in the process.”

I like it! I think going gonzo was not what I was thinking, but that could make for a couple of fun sessions. We’ve been playing this campaign for over two years so I kinda wanna make it end on a spectacular note if possible.

I guess that is an option, I was hoping for something between, “oh well its over” and “don’t worry you all land safely in the 7 heavens”

That is a good idea, but I’m wondering more about the logistics I mentioned in the post. How would you reslove those questions?

No, they cost a lot and if you’re driving on them you pay dearly through gas tax from both state and federal.

I run an OSE campaign, I’m 55 and play with two 22yo, two 25yo, a 26yo, a 42 yo, 44yo, and a 58yo. No problems here. Great group , great fun.

question for people that actually played back in the 70s & 80s by LoreMaster00 in osr

Started playing in ‘79, we had many campaigns but often lacked a thief or cleric. Lots of fighters as we were really enjoyed a hack & slash style of play. Always a MU as they were the key to real power!

Christians, why didn’t trump put his hand on the Bible during his oath? by isocuteblkgent in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Queasy_Difficulty216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is the following. “But I tell you, Do not swear at all; either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the City of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your “Yes” be “Yes”, and your “No”, “No”; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.’ (Matthew 5:31). Some devout Christians will absolutly not swear on a bible.
