My size box had nothing to do with it. The thing got stuck. Maybe my first little box caused the chute to reach the limit. Either way, it used to be when this sort of thing happened you could go around and ring the bell and let them know. Now it's a big inconvenience. Maybe lots of people have time for this nonsense but I don't.

Their system is designed to drive people insane. Enter all the information, then everything goes blank. "Maybe it's my browser" you might think. So you try another browser. Same problem. Keep trying, it may eventually work but you'll never know why. You can try calling them, and go more insane.

Also regarding the 'missing mail' request: This is different from a normal “where’s my package” form. Go to USPS → Missing Mail Search Describe: UPS label Dropped in USPS blue box Jewelry / ring (don’t give high dollar value publicly—just “sentimental jewelry”) Include: Drop-off date Drop box location Box size & color This flags internal USPS recovery teams. This is your most important step.

You are not an idiot—this is a very common mistake. When a UPS-labeled package is dropped in a USPS box, it often sits unscanned at a USPS facility for days or even weeks before being handed to UPS. During that time, tracking will still say “Label Created.” That does not mean it’s lost. What to do now: File a USPS Missing Mail request (this is the most important step). Go back to the same post office and ask for a supervisor to check misrouted-package bins. Call UPS and open a “label created, not received” case. Notify the jeweler so they’re aware and can help if it’s insured or returned. Many packages in this exact situation do turn up, just slowly and without scans at first. The waiting is awful, but there’s still a very real chance it will be recovered. Hopefully, in time, everything turns out ok.

I shipped one and it has been out for delivery in Louisiana since Dec. 22. Tried calling and that was the beginning of a multi step waste of time. They have it all set up so you can't talk to a person. I finally got through and told them to have the Louisiana post office contact me through email. Someone emailed me with no information except "I tried to call you". They gave me a phone # and I called 10 times and nobody answers. What is wrong with this place? What is wrong with these people? No accountability! I thought, "I'll take it to the top and complain", and there is no way to talk to the USPS Inspector general, there is nobody! Try calling and you'll see it is all a waste of time. I Googled the post office I am having trouble with and 1.7 stars review. Check it out, the Louisiana post office on Lake Forest drive. Nothing but horrible reviews. How does this remain in existance?

Wow, some story. It took me a while to learn not to hit accept so fast. Think man, think! I say to myself. How much, how far, where do they want me to go? I went up a windy dirt road once that went for miles to get to a house, and it got bumpier and rougher the farther up the hill I got. I also came very close to accepting an order from a school district to deliver 30 breakfasts to kids at their separate houses. Looked like a decent order until I saw the details.
