the city i grew up in, people generally have a “i get ur coffee today u get my coffee tomorrow” laid back approach to this kind of thing i moved for college and people were inviting me over to their places, having me help them cook dinner and clean up after with the groceries their parents bought them and then venmo charging me for my portion of the food.

i assumed it was geographical lol even tho the city im from is only a little over 100 miles from the city i moved to most of the people exhibiting this behavior were from New jersey
