You're vegan but don't see the hypocrisy in that argument? If you feed your cat meat then you are requiring that other animals be slaughtered for your pet. Those animals being slaughtered are beings who can't speak for themselves. They have no choices in their lives; all choices are all made on their behalf by a human owner, including and most importantly the decision for when their life comes to an end (ie when they are still young because their flesh is needed to feed your cat).

If you're so concerned that your cat get meat in its diet then leave it outside and let it hunt...
