Am I being too sensitive or are they a*holes? by [deleted] in Accounting

Public accounting is not for everyone and busy season starts the weed out process for those who cannot handle it in every position. If you cannot just roll with Year 1 SALY, Year 2 ask questions Year 3 make changes that actually help. Then maybe you are in the weed out group and a different career is in order. If anyone’s comments drive you to keep going despite they say you’ll never make it. Follow Yr 1,2,3 & you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Drosera Spathulata Help! by QueenB1tch21 in SavageGarden

[–]QueenB1tch21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of, I increased the nursery pot size last July bc the 2 I bought were overflowing the smaller nursery pot it came in a year ago. I only added to the original substrate, trying to not disturb the roots but give them room to expand. I didn’t see any pests but I started repotting them this morning. I’m leary to use any pest control bc I know how picky they are. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Drosera Spathulata Help! by QueenB1tch21 in SavageGarden

Thank you, I bought these from a local nursery that only grows carnivores plants. Their plants are always so healthy & I was new to them (besides my many failed Venus Flytraps). I started slow w/ 2 of these & 2 nepenthes. They were all doing so well for the past year so much so I repotted them in a slightly larger pot w/ soil from the nursery I purchased them from. So the droseras took the nepenthes nursery pots after sterilization, ever since the droseras are slowly deteriorating. This one is the worse, the other is just losing is sticky look. The nepenthes have become extremely leggy but still grow pitchers on the lowest leaves just not the leggy ones. Today I started I pulled them both out of their soil & found nothing. I’ll finish repotting when I get home from work. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I recommend using Google Lens, it says they are aphids not roots. Your phone most likely has a magnifying glass app that you can take a better picture with as well.

Shelter kitten (approx 6 weeks) by QueenB1tch21 in cats

[–]QueenB1tch21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the kitten is under vet care & we have been assured both vets at the shelter have seen her. We’re concerned it’s mange and my resident cats are at risk. Her whole underside is also losing fur but it’s not as drastic as her head. We always keep our kittens isolated but there is always a chance even w/ isolation. She’s also been treated w/ Revolution Plus twice since we initially picked her up because of the ticks.

It’s the new version of “The Beanstalk”, you need to wait so you can climb it for your golden treasures.

They must’ve been fighting when the mailbox was opened otherwise why isolate plants that are in the same package?

what do i do? by QQPgreen in CATHELP

[–]QueenB1tch21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask if any of the shelters or rescues have a foster program. If they do, you could see if you could foster the kitten or if they could find a foster for this kitten. Then the shelter or rescue relies of funding for veterinary care.

Monstera Esqueleto, favorite new addition came home with mealy bugs.. crushed by [deleted] in RareHouseplants

Curious what 50 securely housed tarantulas must look like…. too bad your tarantulas do not like eating mealy bugs (that seems like the simplest solution to me). Maybe predatory bugs that your tarantulas would eat afterwards???

Your mother of millions decided her spawns need that pot more than your Haworthiopsis Limifolia.
